THOMAS CRAIG BURFIELD is a native of St. Louis and for the past 24 years he and his husband John have made their home in Carondelet Park in South City. He received his marketing degree from Quincy University, and spent the next twenty years working for TWA. While with the company, he traveled extensively from Europe to the Middle East. He was also an instructor for the airline on first class service. He left TWA in 2001 to begin a new life in real estate.

From bungalows to large estates, Craig has sold it all! He gets the job done with kindness and a terrific sense of humor. His exquisite taste in fine furnishings, enriched by ongoing trips to estate sales and auctions, bring a true sense of style and class to his listings and enable him to give solid advice to buyers.

Craig, who has served as both the treasurer and block captain for his neighborhood association, loves working in his garden and spoiling his Coton de Tulear dog Victoria and cat Albert.

We chose Craig to help us sell our 100 year old home, often a misunderstood category of home. We knew we were entering a tough market and a tough time of year at that. Craig helped us navigate several unexpected events in the path to selling our home. We had absolute trust in him and felt secure leaving our home empty (because we had already moved out) because Craig was our realtor. Because he understands older (and new) homes, he helped us consider questions that came up with offers. I highly recommend Craig. We were thrilled with the sale of our home and recognize Craig’s role in helping that happen all the way through the closing. It’s not a sale until the documents are signed. I highly recommend Craig if you are selling a home. We were selling my mother’s house, which is right next door. She passed away in June, and needless to say, this was a very emotional circumstance. Craig handled it with such grace—even suggesting I make plans for the day it went on the market and the day of the inspection.

Although I was receiving text messages about showings and other appointments, Craig would also call or text to make sure I was aware. He was diligent about keeping up with deadlines and letting me know what our next steps were. I must mention that Craig is my friend, but I know if that hadn’t been the case, the sale of my mom’s house would have gone exactly the same way. Craig is the ultimate professional in every sense of the word.

Craig handled the sale of my house and the purchase of my condo. He was absolutely wonderful to work with. He scheduled contractors to make repairs on my house and met with them while I was on vacation. He drove me around town to search for a new home and guided me through the sale and purchase negotiations. I was very impressed by his knowledge of the market—he knew exactly how to price and promote my house so that it would generate interest and sell quickly. I’ve worked with real estate agents in the past but none have come even close to being as thorough and competent as Craig. I would enthusiastically recommend Craig to anyone buying or selling a home.

The fact that our dad’s villa sold quickly, was really good luck. The customer service, compassion, and patience Thomas (Craig) showed me, was NOT. From when we accepted the offer, until the closing, everything went smoothly, BECAUSE of Craig. When I called or texted Craig with a question, he answered within minutes every time. Craig has been helpful right out of the gate, and never pushy. (We had a pushy person from another agency who wanted this house, OMG no.) First, he loved the house we had to sell, always a plus. Then, he put on a Realtor open house (happily that fell on the same day as the neighborhood House and Garden Tour!), where he found the ideal buyers the same day! (We had a mental list of ideal buyers for the house, what they'd want to do/continue/modify of what we'd started, that they'd at least get along with my BIL next door, etc. But you never get everything on your fantasy wish list. But sometimes you do!!)
Anyway, Craig had ideas about how to make the process go forward and make things happen. Full credit to him!!

Twice now I have worked with Thomas (called Craig) Burfield. First he was the listing agent on a condo that I owned with my daughter. He did an excellent job guiding us through the process and helping us get a quick sale. The second time he helped my granddaughter and I buy a condo for her to live in. Again he was readily available to show us condos that were for sale and then, when we made a selection, in securing its purchase. He was available to meet with inspectors in our absence. He is personable and knowledgeable and he helped us maintain realistic expectations.

Craig's years of experience, kindness and strong work ethic helped keep me on track for the entire process of selling my home and purchasing a new one.
