When you work with Erika Pilimai, you can count on a loan experience centered on you. She’ll walk you through the loan process and be available to answer your questions at each step. Her goal is to ensure you feel confident in your home financing decision. Erika has worked in the mortgage industry for 15 years and works in partnership with her mother, Jill Hinkey. Prior to becoming a Loan Officer, Erika worked for Nordstrom, starting in sales and working her way up to become a regional manager. In that time, Erika learned the value of a business focused on customer service and relationships, skills that have prepared her well for a career in lending.
When she’s not on the clock, Erika spends as much time as she can with her family. As the mom of two sons she stays busy attending their athletic events. Their athleticism is a trait they come by naturally – Erika grew up playing soccer, participating in traditional Polynesian dances, and riding horses. She has spent much of her life calling Placer County home and is proud to devote her career to helping her clients do the same.

Erika and her team made the re-financing process for our home completely stress-free and painless! Erika was our Mortgage Broker when we first purchased our home in 2017, and she was extremely helpful, professional and took time to explain everything to us, as we were first time homebuyers. Both times, she gave us great options to choose from, and got us through the process quickly.

After looking at many different lenders I found Erika and her team to be the absolute best. They were always very prompt at answering any questions I had (which were tons as a first time buyer) and worked their magic to get me into a better loan than I thought we could qualify for. While all other loan officers were trying to give us different loan options they were able to bend things around to get us into a conventional home loan with no contingencies which really opened the market for us. Erika and her team had the incredible foresight to setup my accounts in a manner that would cover all the ups and downs as the annual tax bill adjusts with supplemental bills coming in. With this foresight, her knowledge sharing, and continued support I've been able to navigate the system with my new loan servicer (it is common for your loan to be sold to another entity upon closing) and ended up correcting the rep when they were giving me inaccurate information about my account.
Long story short... I'm incredibly grateful for Erika and feel well taken care of and secured in my new home.
