I met Richard back in 1999, and was very impressed with how knowledgeable he was of all the programs his company offered. He was very respectful and professional in his work ethics. Back then, he was funny...fun to be around...always made those around him feel important.
Sometime in February, 2021, I called Richard Abe to do a No Cash Out Refinance on my rental property, simply to lower my interest rate. I was also looking for a lender who would allow me to lock the rate and points on the day of application. Homestreet Bank was one of just a few lenders that offered this feature back then. Although I could have gotten a little better pricing at another lender, I wanted Richard to handle my refinance transaction, primarily because I knew Richard, and I knew he knew his job very well. I knew Richard would keep on top of my loan, as he always did with the many loans in his pipeline. Whenever I had questions about my loan status, about how to complete a certain form, I emailed Richard. No matter how busy he was, I would always get a response within the hour. He was so very on top of his work...very organized.
Richard is a professional, who I view as one who truly enjoys his job. He was fair and honest with the pricing, and always on the up and up with people. I knew I was being offered an fair-priced loan.
I have done quite a few refinance transactions on rental properties that I have owned. I have to say, Richard Abe is one of the very best Loan Officers I have EVER worked with, and I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a mortgage loan, whether it be a purchase or a refinance transaction.
Lastly, Richard is still funny, still fun to be around I am sure, and also still makes people around him feel important.
