I'm not really sure how to begin. My experience with Deona is probably typical in that she goes above and beyond to serve her clients. However, my journey towards home ownership was anything but typical. There were bumps along the road that at times seemed insurmountable. There were delays and special requirements for which Deona acted with grace, patience, and integrity. I am in deep gratitude for her knowledge, experience, and dedication to making it happen when I wondered if it ever would. What started as a phone call six months ago, continued with countless emails and phone calls, and has ended in a permanent place to call home BECAUSE of the work Deona put into this incredibly long journey. Deona was amazing to work with! This is the second time working with her, and I would say she manages to outdue herself each time. I didn't see Deona as just our loan officer. She was more like a companion and advocate. I honestly felt she wanted the loan and our house more than we did! She always spoke to us at such a human level. I never felt dumb or less than when I spoke with her. Whenever we encountered a bump on the path, she always assured we'd find a solution...and we always did! Getting a mortgage is such a stressful process but I wouldn't go through with anyone else but Deona.

Where to start? Deona was fantastic from beginning to start. I had never purchased a home before and was also working with the Portland Housing Authority. There were so many twists and turns, ups and downs, Deona walked me through the process easily considering I had so many questions. It took three months from making an offer to the final purchase. All the while she constantly reassured me and explained what was going on so that I could understand. She also worked wonderfully with my real estate agent. Communication was the key. I am so happy in my new home. She is truly dedicated to her work and is very compassionate at what she does. I am so thankful!!

As a first time homebuyer i was really nervous about the whole mortgage process but Deona was really helpful in walking me through everything step by step. At no time in during the process did i feel rushed or pressured and it felt as though I had someone working with me... not just someone who was servicing a loan. Subsequently I feel really good about my first time securing a mortgage and buying a house. Deona was my loan officer for my first home purchase. First of all, I was so happy with how communicative she was. She would get back to me very quickly, especially after my offer was accepted. She would also call me immediately to let me know if there were any changes that I needed to make or things I needed to deliver. Not once was my homebuying process held up thanks to Deona's attention to detail. (Shout out to Sabrina as well, who pulled a lot of strings and worked behind the scenes to make things happen.) Second, Deona was always just a pleasant person to talk to and I could tell she really cares about her clients and does the best for them. Would highly recommend Deona, especially for first-time homebuyers. She really walked me through the process and made sure I understood everything that was happening.
