After my Mother suffered a debilitating stroke in 2012 (that left her requiring 24 hour home care,) there came a point where her savings had been depleted and my own reserves were in jeopardy. Enter Linda Weilert and the idea of a reverse mortgage. Mom's house was paid for, she had worked tirelessly to pay for it and it was her home to live out her life in... It made perfect sense to use the equity and Linda was there to guide us through every step. After my Mom passed in 2019, I was able to secure a personal loan, pay off the reverse and live in the home I had been raised in.
Forward to 2021 - After the loss of Mom, the insanity of Covid, and the resulting destruction of my family business, I sought healing and a fresh start by moving to Maui. Although beautiful, I found myself missing my community, and fortuitously returned to California just prior to the Lahaina fire.
