The financing process a prospective first-time homebuyer has to go through can at times seem like an expansive, ever growing, ever evolving ,from one day to the next, impossible labyrinth of tedious hoops. The steps one has to go through can seem endless, frustrating and at times border on the ridiculous. Anytime one is dealing with money, and large amounts of money, seldom will the situation be stress free. Add in the fact that the process is one that will directly affect your future, where you will live and hopefully call home, only amps the stress up to insanity levels.
Thankfully, however, I was lucky enough to have Lou Ann Bransford assisting me in all my first-time home buyer mortgage needs back in 2013. Honestly, I would have gone mad without her. Basically, she jumped through all the hoops for me, and made the financing process of buying a home not only easy, but oddly enough, entertaining. Lou Ann kept me sane, focused and goal oriented.
Did I have a lot to accomplish, a lot of tasks to complete in order to buy my first home? Yes. Lou Ann however kept all the tasks from being overwhelming by keeping me focused on accomplishing one at a time. Baby steps. And these baby steps we took together.
Ever cheerful, always available, when I needed a bit of hand-holding, Lou Ann walked me through the whole scary process of buying my first home. Before I knew it, I had the keys of my new home in my hand, and tears of gratitude in my eyes.
My first home! I did it—we did it—together.
And for that, to Lou Ann, I will always be grateful.
