They say you can't work with a Realtor who is your friend. I have been friends with Amy Rivers for almost 30 years and I can say with 100% certainty that I don't subscribe to that notion. Amy took me and my wife in "virtually" and gave us great counsel and advice on the greater Sacramento areas that we were interested in. She set us up with a great loan broker and also set us up to use their Nexthome website which is much more helpful than Zillow. We received beautifully presented homes for sale in the areas we were looking with info that was totally current. The picture quality was the best part as it allowed us to really see the homes. As we are two hours away in Silicon Valley, it was impossible for us to travel up on a moment's notice to view homes. Amy actually went out of her way to do a virtual tour for us over FaceTime!!
As we neared time to come up and make a weekend of touring based on all of our virtual looking combined with counsel, Amy set us up with Mikayla who took us on a touring adventure. She brought us up to speed on the areas and gave us a ton of info about the important items including schools, hospitals, shopping, dinning, fun activities, local culture and more.
By the end of our first and only tour day, we had made the decision to write an offer on a particular home that we fell in love with. Mikayla took the aircraft and got it done. We ended up being 1 of 11 offers. Mikayla worked with us to get our offer out quickly and then communicated with the listing agent to get our offer accepted. Note: Mikayla was positive and fun through the whole process of "negotiation". It was actually a pleasant experience for all parties involved and that set the tone for a great closing process.
Amy and Mikayla were there for us the whole time from start and all the way through close of escrow. Phone calls, texts, emails and Mikayla even did a virtual, final walkthrough for us that I mostly missed because I was buried with work. We even had a chance to talk to the seller who was home and had a great exchange.
I called Amy because we are friends. I also was a Realtor for a few years and she helped me when I was a new guy who needed a lot of help. I knew she was the best of the best. A home purchase transaction has a hundred ways it can go sideways, and there is always the possibility for issues to come up between all parties. I trusted Amy anyway. Amy and her whole team helped us during this transaction. Mikayla is a doll while she is also a super pro. As an ex Realtor, I couldn't shoot any holes through Mikayla. She was bullet proof. I wasn't looking to anyway. ??
Completely recommend!!
