I've been a resident of Palos Verdes since 1968 attending 6th grade, graduating from Palos Verdes High School, graduating from UCLA and then coming back to Palos Verdes Estates to begin my real estate career in 1980. When it comes time to select a real estate agent in the South Bay, George Fotion should be your first choice. Throughout the process George was friendly, knowledgeable, and hands-on, meeting with us when needed and openly communicating at each step. His ability to analyze the area housing “Comps” and strategize on how set the list price were spot-on. Together we determined that listing “as-is” was the best approach for this specific property. George provided terrific resources to handle property photography, property clean-out and even a moving crew. Having dealt with many agents on numerous properties in the past, integrity and responsiveness are key traits we look for . . . George possesses both of these. We sold and purchased from George. He is very dedicated to his clients. We never felt pressured during the entire process. We reached out to various agents in the South Bay (Palos Verdes) in our search for a home in the area. George was the most responsive, energetic and passionate. So, we hit it off. He patiently educated us the market conditions in the area, and it did not take long before he understood our parameters as he showed us various homes we were interested in. Of course, he was responsive via texts, calls and emails as we discussed the homes visited. At no point during the process that we felt pressured to enter into contract. He even advised us against a home that we liked because he felt obligated in letting us know the lack of comps to support the listed price in the specific neighborhood. Fast forward a month or so later, we regrouped with George once we identified a target. He was quick in providing a very candid assessment of the pros and cons, and gave us his gut valuation of the home. He also used web analytics from an in-house database of unique user views of the property, and incorporated that into his negotiation tool on our behalf during the contract process. He consistently pushed the bank and appraiser to meet the deadlines for closing. It is worth emphasizing that we came out of the process trusting George ever more in his integrity and diligence.
