We had a negative experience working with Amir selling our town-home and buying a new home. At the end of the day, based on our overall experience and the financial loss we incurred, we will not recommend him . Here is our story:

Sell Transaction:
He was referred to us by a good friend. We engaged Amir to help us sell our town-home. After signing a four month contract to sell home through him, we were disappointed with what we found. He suggested us some outlandishly high price to sell our home. Knowing the market trends in the area, we made our own decision on the listing price and at the end of the day, we are glad we stayed with our research on setting listing prices. If we had accepted his suggestion, we would still be in the market trying to cut prices to sell our home...!!

At the open house, Amir showed up late with no professionally printed handouts (just printer printouts), no smocks to cover shoes, no sign-in sheets, very casual dressed - which amused us since we have never seen a realtor like this. As we worked with him, we discovered that we had to micro manage every single aspect. Since we were in the middle of contract, we had no choice but to micro manage and positively encourage/ engage him for every single aspect and continue to work with him to support the sale of our home. At the end of the day, we sold our home successfully.

Buy Transaction:
As we were engaging on the sell transaction, we did work with him on a buy transaction, where we had an arrangement of splitting buyer's commission split by 50/50. Once again Amir's inability to provide the right document at right time, came back to bite us. He failed to put the paperwork for commission split in time for escrow close and we were not paid the commission split when escrow closed. So bottom line we have not yet received the full money owed to us from this buy transaction which is in excess of $8K and have been working with his boss to intervene and help us get the balance of our money based on our sharing agreement.

Lastly, before our buy transaction fiasco, to be fair, we did recommend Amir to other folks - who worked with him based on my word. These folks had the same observation and said that Amir was "slow", which tarnished the value of my recommendation. And not surprisingly at the end of the day, my friends who had recommended Amir to us, decided to use someone else for a house they just closed on.

So at the end of the day, after our experience, we feel there are lots of other worthy realtors who can be more effective. I will not recommend Amir..!!

Since we were in the middle of contract, we had no choice but to micro manage and positively encourage/ engage him for every single aspect and continue to work with him to support the sale of our home.
