My family and I happened to meet Nicki for the first time when we were visiting some open houses in May 2012. When Nicki realized that we were almost neighbors, she offered to tour our house and give us her thoughts on how much we could sell it for. At that time, we had another real estate agent who was going to be helping us sell our house but we agreed to let Nicki come by and give us her thoughts about our house. The following day, Nicki showed up promptly at 9 AM to our house and came prepared with a packet of information about houses nearby that had sold and was able to give us an estimate of what she thought our house could sell for based on her tour of the house. However, we were still not convinced about signing with Nicki because we knew the other real estate agent personally so we were more inclined to go with him. However, Nicki insisted that she let us bring her contractor to give us a few quotes on what it would take to clean up our house before selling it- we agreed. Again, on the day that was planned for us to meet, Nicki showed up promptly with the contractor. Initially, Nicki and the contractor suggested a lot of things to do to fix up the house. However, when we explained to Nicki that we couldn't do all of that because our cash flow was very limited, she really took the time to listen to our needs and helped us come up with the bare minimum that we would need to do in order to get the best sale price for our house. We were very impressed that she actually listened to what WE needed vs. just telling us to spend a lot of money that when she asked us again to sign with her vs. our other realtor, we agreed-- And I can say that my family has not regretted that decision for a second. I cannot begin to express our happiness with Nicki. From day 1 after signing with her, she has truly been responsive to all of our needs and has gone above and beyond for us. We loved that she came prepared to every meeting with a schedule of what needed to be done, had copies of everything for us, and was very prompt in all of our meetings. Furthermore, she was willing to always work with us and make sure we were happy. We ended up finding our own contractor to rip up our carpet and repolish the hardwood underneath and Nicki was excellent in coordinating everything with him and the other two contractors who would be doing work on our house. She made sure that we were constantly in the loop about what would be going on every day and copied us in all emails that we were sent out to contractors. And whenever we did have any questions about what was going on she would always take the time to respond to our emails and phone calls almost immediately. We have never once had a hard time getting in touch with her and we never went unanswered for more than 4 hours! To us, that is excellent service.
It took my family exactly 3 weeks to get our house ready to sell and we could not have done it without Nicki's help and coordination. We actually finished a week in advance because she was so diligent in making sure everything ran smoothly and that everyone did their work on time. She was also great about putting together all of the selling information that we needed and making sure my parents signed all the appropriate paperwork so that everything would be ready for the buyers as soon as we put the house on the market. When it was the week of open house, Nicki did an EXCELLENT job in marketing our house. She held a separate brokers only tour on the Thursday before open house and then hosted a friends and neighbors night on Friday so that people would start talking about the house and tell their family and friends. During the open house weekend, there were almost 50 distinct groups of people that came to view the house. What was great also was that she constantly kept us in the loop about the open houses- who was interested, how interested they were, and what their concerns were. And whenever she said she was going to follow up with a certain perso
