Downsizing came out of necessity. My husband passed and it became evident that I needed to move to a smaller, one-story property. Roger helped me to locate another property in a different community. My wife and I recently decided to purchase a home in the Scottsdale area. As out of state buyers, we didn't know any Realtors, but fortunately, we were referred to Roger by a friend. During my 30 year career as a real estate developer, I've worked with dozens of Realtors, few as professional as Roger. As an experienced Realtor, he is very knowledgeable of the area and throughout the process of buying our home, kept us constantly updated as to what was happening with the market. This gave us a great sense of what type of home we'd be able to afford. He was always willing to show us any properties we wanted to see, even after two full days of looking at numerous homes. While careful not to impart his personal opinions regarding style or finishes, he was insightful and cautioned us regarding any negative attributes to a specific property or neighborhood. When the time came to make an offer on the home we wanted, Roger's negotiating skills allowed us to purchase the home for less than we thought we'd be able to. Roger set up all the home inspections to happen in one day so I could fly in and talk to all the various inspectors. This process greatly helped us understand the workings of the home and what items needed attention. Lastly, with Roger's attention to detail, the closing went off without a hitch. Roger is an exceptional real estate professional. I reengaged Roger after he helped me sell my mother's home during a probate process in 2011. To my surprise, he remembered me and immediately made my wife and me feel comfortable and treated us as a top priority. His responsiveness was outstanding. Roger responded very quickly to an online request for information on a property in Scottsdale about 2 years ago. My husband and I lived in Oakland CA at the time and were contemplating a move to the Scottsdale area at some time in the future. We were not in a particular rush. Roger gave us great information about the area and best values. He put us on his property listing feed. We met with him in person about 1.5 years ago and he showed us a variety of properties. One of them turned out to be the property we bought - a new build in the Toll Brothers Community of Monte Vista. It really had everything we were looking for in a home and at a great price. Roger gave us great advice and support over the time the house was in construction, found us a great mortgage broker and other important services. Not that long ago my father passed away in Arizona and I live in New York. Needless to say any real estate transaction can be somewhat challenging and stressful but Roger made it all possible and smooth from renovations to the sale of my parents home. We were referred to Roger by a friend and were very happy to have met him! He made a stressful time very smooth- we put an offer on the third house we looked at and our offer was accepted the next day, over other offers! What we appreciated most about Roger was that he was very timely in all of his communication, he was honest when we were looking for advice as first-time buyers, and he has the knowledge of how to beat out other offers in a competitive market. Roger took care of nearly everything including the house cleanup, mini-renovation and staging. I moved out of state several weeks before the house was listed. Roger kept me informed of all details and worked within a budget to make the entire transaction seamless.
The house closed today 9/3/15 with no issues. I am grateful to Roger for his significant knowledge and professionalism in the matter.

Roger does an excellent job representing his customers. He is efficient, smart, easy to talk to, quick to respond and gives great advice. I have done three transactions with him---the most recent was selling my home while I was out of town. In all three transactions, my expectations were exceeded. We moved to Phoenix from Fort Worth and were given Roger Banning's name by an agent that had worked with our family in another city. We could not be more pleased with the service that we received from Roger. He initially contacted us prior to the sale of our Texas home, in order to get an understanding of what were looking for in a new home, and then stayed in weekly contact with us throughout the time that the sale of our home was pending. He treated us better, before he had even met us, than the listing agent on our for-sale home.
