Andrew Youn
National Account Director
I've known Steve for about 7 years. I first met him when I moved back to Phoenix and was setting up an account at a local bank. I was house shopping and was convinced to speak with their new mortgage department. At that time, my family had a multi-decade long relationship with a local broker, and I told Steve that he was wasting his time speaking with me because we had a very solid relationship with great mortgage people. Since I just had my credit pulled and it wouldn't make a difference in the 14 day window to pull again for shopping I went ahead and had him run it to humor him and see how much better my guys were.
This was back in 2013. Starting from day 1 of our relationship, Steve followed up constantly, always had great advice on how best to position myself in the best possible way to get the smoothest transaction and best possible outcome, and even though he followed up... he was PATIENT. It took quite a while to find a house but he never let off the gas with his service and help.
When I finally got under contract and got real figures, he blew my previous mortgage guys out of the water! By the way, they barely followed up with me and I didn't get much advice from them. The choice was obvious at that point.
After we closed, Steve stayed close with me. I am extremely loyal to my relationships so it's a big deal to unseat an incumbent. Since that first transaction in 2013, Steve has now done 2 mortgages for me, 2 mortgages and a HELOC for my brother, a mortgage for my mom, and quite a few others for clients of my brother and my wife who are both Realtors. Basically, we know that when we call Steve, he's going to get the deal DONE and get it done at the best possible rates.
It is not hyperbole when I say that I really lucked out finding this guy. He has become a trusted adviser and a friend. Anyone I know that has any sort of financial needs around real estate, I tell them that they MUST contact Steve... and they do. The greatest part about him is that even though he is worth his weight in gold, telling others about him and sharing that wealth only increases his value to me. I don't know how he does it.
Mortgage guys come and go and they all have some value, but true professionals like Steve are rare. Selfishly, I hope he stays in this business for as long as I will need mortgages and related solutions.
