Helped me buy a home
Bill listened to what I was looking for and sent me properties to consider before I could find them myself. He helped me understand the choice points available to me and helped me make a competitive offer which resulted in me getting the place I wanted. He is thoughtful and trustworthy. Highly recommend.
Helped me buy a home
Bill has been our buyers' representative on two occasions in the last 18 months. On the first purchase, Bill was able to negotiate a purchase price that both the seller and we were happy with, and avoided the uncertainties of competing bids. On the second purchase, Bill again negotiated a price that was advantageous to both parties. The second purchase had a few complications, and Bill worked steadfastly to resolve the issues and expedite the sale. We would use Bill Fletcher again and would recommend him to anyone that is about to buy or sell a home.
Helped me buy a home
I was referred to Bill by a client of mine and I was so happy with my experience. I put off looking for a realtor for a long time because the whole business really turned me off, I would go look at houses and get depressed by what I saw. I really wasn't sure if I could afford a house in the Bay Area, and realtors seemed pretty sleazy and greedy to me.
When the time came and I finally did get around to committing to buying a house, I'm so happy I called Bill. He is a smart, down to earth, all around good human being who met me in person to discuss my needs and what I was capable of. He works with a lot of buyers because he genuinely wants to make people's dreams come true. He treated me with warmth and respect, and never made me feel talked down to. Being a single woman, this meant a lot to me.
Once I began looking at houses, I had a lot of fun working with Bill. He is the kind of person who listens more than he speaks, which I think is very intelligent. He didn't try to get me to buy anything I wasn't into, and never tried to push me into anything. But when I eventually did find an affordable place that was an anomaly in the Berkeley, he worked very hard to get me my house. It was a rare situation where the sellers didn't have a realtor, the house was part of an estate, etc. I think if Bill wasn't so good at what he does (and hadn't also gained the seller's trust) I wouldn't have gotten the house. I really appreciate his finesse in dealing with the whole complicated situation. I have a feeling Bill is adaptive enough to finesse any situation in this crazy market. And ta-da! Can't believe it, but I now own a cute little house in Berkeley! It's a few months in and Bill still checks in to see how I'm doing and if I need anything. I would (and do) recommend Bill to anyone looking to buy a house in the Bay Area.
I have not used Bill's and Eli's services yet but I attended one of their "New Home Buyers Workshops" in March 2018 and was deeply impressed by their knowledge, professionalism and very pleasant demeanor (and frankly patience with me after bombarding them for over two hours with questions long after regular business hours).
I am not the type who goes with the first gut feel, but I can already tell that I will most likely speak to other realtors just to make me feel better about my choice and that I will end up working with Bill and Eli. Both do not only give you the sense of really knowing their stuff but also - what is so important in the real estate world - that they are genuine and trustworthy.
Besides my "impressions" I should also add the fact that they are looking to grow their business (hence workshop, etc.) and are very mindful of keeping and spreading their good reputation. So, also from this perspective I would be very surprised if they delivered anything but excellent service.
See you soon, Bill and Eli.
Helped me sell a home
Bill sold our El Cerrito triplex in October 2017. To begin the project, Bill provided a detailed schedule of events in accordance with our desired timeline. This helped us understand the steps and sequence of events as well as time expectations. Bill and Eli met every single timeline which included recommended home improvements, inspections, staging, photography and marketing. Bill has the necessary list of contacts which made it possible to accomplish what needed to be done in the 3 weeks to prep the property. Workers were ready to go on Day 1, during a time when most contractors have a 2-4 month lead time. The most valuable service provided by Bill was his time, focus and effort to the project. He lined up the work, coordinated everything, and was there to ensure the work was done. This enabled us to continue working our day jobs without needing to take off even 1 day. He even coordinated everything with the current renters.

Once the property was beautifully prepped, Bill put it on the market. He transformed our property from a fixer-upper to a gorgeous, desirable home. The photography and marketing materials were incredible. To our surprise, it was sold in 1 week at a price that far exceeded our expectations.

Due to Bill's knowledge of the local area, and his real estate expertise, our real estate sale was incredibly successful. Bill's and Eli's communication skills and style made it a smooth and enjoyable transaction. We can't thank them enough!

I closed on my house the beginning of June 2017 after working with Eli Fletcher for a few months. Not only is the market in Oakland fast and competitive, but we had a tight timeline in which to pull this off, but with Eli's help we were able to pull it off. To say Eli is attentive and responsive to his clients isn't saying enough. Even during the Memorial Day holiday he was working on getting our deal together for the end of the month. Eli and his team worked hard to find us a home that met our needs, budget, location, and plans for the future. Without his help in securing inspections and minor repair items we would not have been able to close on time. I've already recommended friends contact Eli when looking for their own home. Buying a home is challenging enough even when you aren't buying in the Bay Area, but Eli made it easy. Thanks!
My boyfriend and I are incredibly lucky to have met Eli two years ago at a house that we decide to look at on a whim. At that time, we weren't near ready to buy, but Eli spent a lot of time with us explaining the process, next steps to take, and making us feel comfortable moving forward.

Throughout our house hunt, Eli always made himself (or his dad, thanks Bill!) available to show us properties we were interested in and maintained constant contact regarding new listings and our offer statuses.

Over 2 years and 20+ offers, we had Eli on our side with an unwavering positive attitude and go-getter mentality. Even once we had an offer accepted, Eli still negotiated with the seller on closing costs and ended up saving us money.

It's hard to imagine going through this process with anyone else. There is no way to put into words how thankful and lucky we were to have had Eli as our agent. Trust me, you can't go wrong with him!
Bill and Eli are where it's at!

My partner and I just sold our condo and then turned around and bought a home in a different neighborhood. We loved our old home and wanted to make sure it went to someone that would love it as well and be amazing neighbors to our dear friends around the neighborhood. We wanted to make sure whomever moved in would only add positivity, respect and understanding to or old neighborhood of West Oakland. It's a very special neighborhood that is changing rapidly and we wanted to make sure to pass our sweet urban nest onto someone who was part of the positive kinds of change for that area. Well... with Bill and Eli's help- WE DID!

We then turned around and went on a search for a new home that felt like us- less cement and more trees. Something with a garden, a studio space to make art, a room to make music, lots of trees, a place close to friends, a fire place, a great kitchen with a window above the sink, a back yard that would hold a load of friends that we could have lots of hangs around a fire with in rocking chairs and just overall a charming home that felt really good. Well.. with Bill and Eli's help- WE DID! Not only did the house literally have everything we wanted but even more including a vintage stove I can't lay my eyes, pots and pans off of AND beautiful views of the bay!! We literally did this all within a month. THAT is amazing and we are incredibly grateful. The Bay Area is one of thee hardest markets to buy in and we are just over the moon about how smooth everything went. It would not have been so easy without having sold our place for what we did and then having amazing realtors working with us the way they did.

We knew the moment we met Bill and Eli that they were our guys. We loved that they were family and had such a wonderful dynamic with each other and with us. We loved how they listened to what we wanted even down to the little details like - "We really need a tree in the front yard". We loved how excited they were for our new beginning and we could tell they were going to be putting their hearts in this important time with us.

In particular Bill showed up, he was extremely experienced and knowledgable, he worked with all of our quirky ways (and we have many-Hahh!), he was very communicative on every end, he has very solid and positive relationships with the realtors all over the Bay Area from all the many years he has working in the Bay Area. He was just such a wonderful part of this entire experience.

We can not thank Bill and Eli enough for all that they have done for us. We thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.

I had a great experience working with Eli and his father Bill. From the start, I felt like I was a valued client even though I wasn't looking at the big money listings. Eli helped me navigate a lengthy and unique transaction with a difficult seller. Eli and Bill's knowledge and expertise made my first home buying experience a really positive one. We even came in under the asking price! Eli and Bill aren't just great realtors, they're exceptional people.
We highly recommend Bill & Eli Fletcher! Our first meeting was on a weekday after 5PM and they took the time to sit down with us for over an hour to get to know us and provide us with a general overview of the home buying process. After our meeting, we knew we were in good hands! They were extremely knowledgeable about the areas we were targeting in the East Bay and very connected to the seller agents in the area. In fact, it was because of Eli's relationship with our seller agent and our amazing mortgage broker, Rhoda Paul that our offer was accepted in our number one location (Montclair). Eli was available anytime we wanted to look at houses on the weekends or weekdays. Throughout the process he was always responsive via email or phone. He was transparent about each step in the process, he would communicate the pros and cons of each house we were interested in, always being real about his opinion based on his experience and our interests. Talking through things with Eli we always walked away feeling supported and encouraged and never pressured. When we were ready to make a move on a home, he always went above and beyond to make us look as competitive as possible. We are now living in our DREAM home because of Bill and Eli! If Yelp had 10 stars they would be a 10.
Bill and Eli are a great team. I am a real estate investor, Bill has represented me in over a dozen transactions and Eli in 4 or 5. They both are excellent marketers, very well networked, respected within the Berkeley/Oakland Real Estate community and are wonderful at representing both buyers and sellers. They are knowledgeable, creative, savvy, you can't go wrong working with them, they both are awesome!
Helped me buy a home
Eli consistently went out of his way to help us become knowledgable about the SF East Bay area. From scoping out potential houses, to negotiating, and to finalizing paperwork and escrow, Eli was always available to help, especially because we were buying the house mostly from a long distance; he was always willing to act as our representative for the home inspector, electrician, and other contractors. Even after escrow fully completed, Eli continued to be fully available to help us with some final items.
We are happy with our purchase experience, and would highly recommend Eli and Red Oak Realty to others.

In our months long search for our new home, Eli provided consistent support, neighborhood education and a clear read on the quickly changing market to help us finally win a beautiful home in the Dimond/Laurel District of Oakland.

We had come in at second or third place on multiple other bids, and even when we were devastated by those losses, Eli was there to champion us on and show us there were many more beautiful homes out there. He took pains to work within our budget and quickly came to understand what our aesthetic was. Best of all, he's a really nice guy, and we were so glad for his support during this process.

His reputation and good standing within the realty community really helped us finally win a bid. We highly recommend that you also go with Eli, and we definitely plan to connect with him in the future if we ever have real estate needs again. Two thumbs up!
Helped me buy a home
Eli helped me to purchase my third home. He is without question the nicest, most reliable, and honest realtor I've ever worked with. He brought a level of personal caring to my experience that goes far beyond what's to be expected. He was patient, a great negotiator, and helped me to secure a home far beyond what I had hoped for in a tough market. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Helped me buy a home
My situation was rather unusual in that I live and work about three counties away from where I hoped to relocate. I appreciate how Eli worked out ways for the purchase to happen without me having to make multiple 4-hour round trip drives. I am especially grateful for how Eli took it upon himself to meet with the appraiser contracted by my mortgage company. He believed it important that he give the appraiser, who was coming from out of the area, a comprehensive overview of the current, unique, and outrageous market in Alameda County. I believe Eli’s efforts helped achieve the appraisal that qualified for the mortgage.
Helped me sell a home
Bill was always accessible during a long(more than a year) process that included obtaining a transition loan; buying a new home; pre-sale preparation of our for sale home; moving into a new home; and the sale/closing of our old home. He was easy in his approach towards us and professional in his dealing with other agents, craftsmen, and service people. Most of all, both he and his son were nice guys to work with during those trying times.
Elijah Fletcher is an amazing agent. My wife and I were first time home buyers and Elijah was so thorough and intuitive with us. He always kept us informed and involved with up to date information. I don't think we would be in our home if it wasn't for Elijah and all his assistance. Not only is he a wealth of knowledge, Elijah is a great and funny individual. If you are are first time buyer or just looking to move to the Bay Area I highly recommend him.
Selling the family home was not an easy decision or without issues, but Bill and Eli did everything they could to make the process as painless and as profitable as they could. With every situation that cropped up, they had an answer, even if the answer meant we take our time and do nothing for now. Many realtors would have put on the pressure, but not these two. When they say you, your needs and feelings are the priority ... believe them!
With their extensive knowledge, experience and contacts, the home sold before it was even listed. 90% of the process was completed online, and they were always calm, caring and responsive to any request or question during the process.
Can not recommend them more highly.
Thanks for all your time and care :-)
Worked with Bill & Eli when I bought my first house in the east bay. I can't imagine how the process would have worked without them. They were helpful, knowledgeable, understanding, patient and provided great advice. At the end of the day I ended up in a place that was perfect for me, even though when I started the process I would have ruled the place out!

They gave me the time and space to come around to what I needed, even thought that took a bit of time. On top of it all -- during the bidding process I had to go to London for work and were able to keep on top of everything, despite time zone issues and having to communicate mainly via texts, email and skype I was able to land a house in a very tight market.
Bill and Eli are the best realtors we've ever dealt with. We were buying a house in Berkeley. From first contact, to multiple bids (common to the area), to finally getting a bid accepted, Bill and Eli were responsive, in-the-know, and on top of everything.

Once we finally had a bid accepted, things went south because of the seller (to the point where we hired a lawyer). But Bill and Eli kept in-step and held our hands through the entire process.

Bill really knows (and loves) everything about the area/neighborhoods/etc, and he helped us learn about buying homes in Berkeley. Both Bill and Eli are genuinely good people with a gentle matter-of-fact nature that my husband I really appreciated.

We would definitely recommend them to friends and family, and we will use them again when it's time.
Helped me sell a home
I owned a house in the Hiddenbrooke development in Vallejo, but live in San Diego. I decided to sell the house, and on the recommendation of a relative, I contacted real estate agent, Bill Fletcher of Red Oak Realty in Oakland. While I was impressed with Bill, I was concerned that Hiddenbrooke was not located in the East Bay area where Bill normally works. After talking to Bill about his marketing plan for the house, I was convinced and gave him the listing. That was definitely the right decision.

From start to finish Bill provided excellent service and advice. He inspected the house and told us what needed to be done – basically cleaning up the clutter and some touch-up painting. He recommended a painter who was responsible and fairly priced. Once we had prepared the house, he had a professional photographer take photos to be used in the marketing material. When I saw the pictures, I had to ask myself why I was selling such a great looking house. Bill then kicked off the marketing effort with our house info and pictures distributed everywhere.

The marketing effort was obviously effective as we received a great offer the day before our first open house. Bill’s efforts on our behalf did not stop once we accepted the offer. He was at the house when the Buyer’s inspector checked it out. He worked out very favorable possession and other terms with the Buyer’s broker and continually checked on the status of the transaction and the Buyer’s waiver of contingencies. He responded quickly and helpfully to every one of our questions.

The sale closed this week. The result was better and faster than we ever imagined.

If you need a real estate agent, I strongly recommend that you contact Bill.

Bill was courteous, cheerful and respectful. He had a ton of local knowledge and was always willing to help, but never over-assertive. Despite having to go through five offers AND dealing with negotiating the final offer while I was traveling for work in London, I never felt like things were out of hand or that I didn't understand what was going on.

Five-stars.
