One word: DEB. BELL. Oh wait, I guess that's two. But she's like Prince or Madonna... she deserves a single name that literally everyone recognizes the second they hear it whispered in hushed and reverent tones. On this transaction, the buyer was being a real pill, doing the whole blaming and rude routine on the phone to Deb. She was just an absolute pain. But here's the thing... I went in to see Deb and I heard her talking not he phone to this buyer. What went through my head was, "Man, I am so glad to have Deb on my team." Just confidence in her at 110%. I knew she would calmly keep things together, even though the person on the other end of the phone was making that hard. And sure enough... it closed! So many thanks to Deb for being a great escrow gal... but even better- she's a great person :)

Two words- DEBBIE. BELL! Ran into a terrible lender on this closing. Their communication sucked and it was backed up by pretty much everything else they tried to do in this transaction. Enter DEB! Right at the end, I got an ounce of good news from the lender, so I texted her right after she left the office and just let her know... but told her "no need to respond." So.... she texts me on Saturday FROM HER OFFICE and tells me that she's got the docs ready and the signing is set up. Who goes to these lengths???? As a result, we closed right away and my seller was thrilled. Thank you so much, Deb. I love working with you :)

This escrow was a little tougher, because it was a trustee sale with a few extra hoops to jump through. They both just did what needed to be done, made this one of the smoothest transactions I've ever done. When it clearly could've been the opposite.
My client was still grieving the loss of her father, so needed a lot of extra hand holding, which these two did automatically without a word. Several items that my client thought would have to be handled by an attorney, Debra did completely and saved my client time, energy and money.

I have another story of how Debra saved a potential seller from a nightmare.
My seller was in charge of probate for family members whose parents were killed this part of a homicide. His job was to try to get the home sold to get money for the kids. There were three sets of attorneys involved, due to probate and the homicide. Not one of those attorneys was smart enough, or willing to put in the time, to figure out the home had no value, due to liens.
Debra, was smart enough, and kind enough to dig through the mess and save this family all of the trauma involved with trying to get the home sold. This was literally life-changing for this family.
To say I adore Debra, is an understatement!
