He is extremely friendly, explained everything in easy to understand language, answered all of our questions and the best part, absolutely NO pressure. It took us over a month to make a decision. Once we gave the go ahead, he continually kept in contact every step of the way. He even showed up on the day of installation! And he also stopped by once our power was live and surprised us with a gift. We just received our first electric bill and already we are saving money! When I decided to have a solar system installed, I met with several out-of-state companies that did work in Pennsylvania. After reading reviews, I decided that having a local company install and service the system was a priority. After searching, I found Ethical Energy and met with Kelly O’Brien. She was very helpful with my many questions and got the process started in July 2025. I started off with a home solar evaluation, which revealed a lot about my home and how the system would eventually be installed. Ethical Energy did everything from obtaining Homeowners Association approval and township permits to utility inspections, system design plans, and eventual installation. Ethical Energy’s installers are local and did a great job on a cool, windy November day. By the time the utility inspected the system and the new net meter was installed, it was well into January, and snow covered my roof. It is late March now, and the system has added over 600 kWhs to the grid. The Solar Edge app is great for monitoring the system. I am very satisfied with the system overall and surprised by how much power the system produces. I want to thank Kelli for all her help and for keeping in contact from my initial visit to checking in to see how the system is working.

The price of electric is not going to stop rising anytime soon. At some point, the game of selecting an introductory rate on the papowerswitch website becomes tedious and limiting as those intro rates dwindle. Eventually, you come to the realization that you may have to take matters into your own hands and consider finding a solution to generate your own electric.

We had the pleasure of meeting Kelly O'Brien of Ethical Energy Solar last fall. We were interviewing solar companies after watching our electric bills soaring over the last few years and knew we wanted a local reliable company. After meeting with Kelly, it was an obvious choice to go with Ethical Energy Solar, the number one rated solar company in the state of Pennsylvania ( a York, PA based company).

From the start we felt Kelly listened to us, responded promptly to every inquiry and in the end delivered exactly what we asked for. It only took a few weeks to finalize a design that met our needs (including some future proofing) and quickly signed with Ethical Energy Solar.

There were multiple options for payment but in the end we went with Sungage Financial, a short term loan that floated the 30% tax rebate and a longer term loan for the remainder. It was quick, easy and the interest rates were reasonable. Sungage is a reliable and well reviewed partner for solar lending.

From there we went into design and permitting. These time frames can vary based on your request and of course your municipality. Shortly thereafter we had a designed approved both by us and our township and we were scheduled for install. By early December we were completely installed. By early January we passed inspection and shortly thereafter Met Ed arrived and blessed us off. A few days later we came online and have been producing clean, carbon free electric ever since. I would highly recommend Ethical Energy Solar and Kelly O’Brien. They are NOT a national chain and they will not drive up your driveway to hawk their products. We always had access to Kelly via text which gave us immediate responses. We had weekday access to the schedulers via telephone and they were always available or quickly called us back.

The installers were prompt, courteous and respectful. Along the way we made a change here and there and all of our requests were immediately acted upon to our delight. Since activating out system we have generated electric flawlessly.

We have instant monitoring our all components of our system via an app on phone or desktop. We can see daily production & consumption, watching our flow of electric (mostly out to the grid) knowing all the while our electric bills are now a thing of the past. We can’t recommend Kelly and Ethical Energy Solar highly enough. Kelly is a delight to work with and did we mention she mention she loves dogs!

Kelly is AMAZING. Could ask for anyone better to walk you through every step of the process. She's knowledgeable and patient and has a sense of humor which is refreshing now adays. Even after all the work is done and you're up and running she checks in to see how your system is and if you have any questions or concerns. She really cares and enjoys saving people money. I've had my system for a month and it's already paying my ppl bill if in the negative balance meaning they owe me for what I've produced! Going solar is a huge decision for various reasons. We were beyond skeptical when we began our solar journey. Ethical Energy was recommended to us by a good friend and we set up an informal meeting with what was to become our advisor, Kelly O'Brien. Kelly came to our house and told us about this great opportunity to save lots of money on future electric bills. Showed us what our house would look like with solar panels on the roof and why/how it makes financial sense to go solar. Kelly was never pushy and explained how this company wants to save you money. Throughout the whole experience we were patiently waiting for "The Catch". Turned out there is no catch. They do all the work and you save a lot of money from the moment the solar array is turned on. You are virtually protected from ever rising electricity bills for many years to come. If that sounds good to you, give them a call 📞 and ask to set up a meeting with Kelly O'Brien or one of the other excellent advisors. You won't regret it unless you don't like saving lots of money. We have talked to other Ethical Solar customers and everyone has been very happy with their experience with the company.

Kelly O'Brien is wonderful to work with. She is very knowledgeable of the solar industry. In fact, she informed my wife and I of problems with our current solar company, that their financing company went bankrupt, which did not explain why our current solar company took a year to hook-up our system. So, we were checking an alternative solar company to finish the project. If I had it to do again, I would work with Kelly and Ethical Energy Solar for their efficient panels. So, even though we weren't using her company she was very helpful and went the extra mile to meet with us.

we decided to go with ethical energy we looked into other companies. We liked all the reviews on this one. We got to meet and talk to one of the representatives Kelly O’Brien she came to our home. She was on time dress very professionally when she introduced herself she seemed to have a great personality and a great smile so when we sat down at the kitchen table, she told us a little bit about herself told us a lot about the company she works for she answered all of our questions explains all the warranties. She was great talking to us, knowing that we are senior citizens and sometimes we have a habit of asking the same questions, but she was great with it after a little while you felt like she was sitting there talking to you at a dinner table so we made the decision to go with them because of her she explained each step and as we got past that step which only are a couple steps, she actually did follow up in person. If you have any questions with her there’s a phone number you can call and she will return your calls now we are looking forward to seeing our panels installed and see how much money they could save us because our home is all electric. She also knew we have a German Shepherd. We always check before somebody comes in our house. She even brought treats for him with our permission my wife made a comment that through all the whole process with Kelly and her company. We’re very confident and very relaxed. We feel we made the right choice.
