I am writing becaues I want to let you know about the high level of professionalism and abaove all, compassion and empathy we expereinced in our dealing with Erik. I had worked with Erik any years ago and had not maintained much contact with him since he had left and became a real estate agent. Immediately following Hurricane Ian, he reached out to me to see if my family and I were OK and asked if we needed antyhing, offering his help selflessly. While my husband and I were ok, my elderly parents who lived on the water were not. Their hme had taken in 3 ft of water. Quite frankly, it was devastating knowing they probably would nhot be able to repair or rebuild it. The thought of losing their home to storm surge from Ian and now facing relocation in a very difficultmarket was a little more than I could think about. They have not purchased a home in nearly 40 years and were facing a daunting task. Erik listened to my fears and concerns and took the task on. He walked them through the process of selling their home (and answered my million questions with a smile, a calming tone and even a welcomed laugh or two). He ensured they understood what was going on, communicated clearly and frequently and was very responsive when asked for infomration. Remarkably, he found them a house close to me that suits their needs perfectly and made sure that they were not taken advantage of in any way. I truly am not sure where we would be right now without Erik's help and I fear we would still be trying to resolve their housing issue had he not intervened. Erik's hard work, high ethical standards and dedication to "The Golden Rule" are an absolute asset to your agency.
