I have been with Fidelity for almost 7 years, and came to Fidelity from another large underwriter. I remember one of the last words of the other underwriter as I was leaving being something like: "You're going to regret this decision and be begging us to come back shortly". After 7 years, I do not regret the decision, but rather see myself being with Fidelity for the rest of my career. The reasons for feeling this way are numerous, but specifically, I love the precepts that Fidelity has established which govern what each of us do each day and how we do it, from the CEO to County Manager to Escrow Officer to Custodian. Everyone that is successful at Fidelity buys in to the precepts. In my role, I work with both direct operations and agencies, thus allowing for a diverse perspective of things that work and things that don't work so well. I have been so impressed with the management and leadership of Mary Lou Paulk, County Manager and President of Fidelity National Title Agency in Maricopa and Pinal Counties, Arizona. Specifically, Mary Lou inherited an operation that had been #1 in the Country, however, due to the market downturn and some internal restructuring, what she inherited was not on a trajectory to remain #1. Rather than complaining about prior issues, or making excuses, she went to work re-implementing the FNF precepts, and has now, 7 years later, returned to the #1 position in Arizona, and in the Top Ten in the Western Division of FNF. This was not by accident or luck, but rather by a sustained and methodical plan. She now has the buy-in of her entire operation and not only do people truly enjoy being at Fidelity, their results and performance reflect that as well. I am extremely happy to be associated with Fidelity and Mary Lou and look forward to continuing to build this Company as a team for a great future.
