As I drove to my escrow appointment, I pictured a stuffy corporate conference room, a clutch of blue pens, and a stack of papers signed by me to transform our warm family home into a cold financial "asset." But Melanie's wide smile and gracious manner immediately brightened the atmosphere. People want their business professionals to be efficient but--more importantly--effective. Here Melanie excelled. She clearly and simply explained the purpose of each paper that required my signature. White reviewing the draft Final Seller's Statement, we laughed to discover that each of us mails our property tax payment on the last day before penalty, which in my case fell just before the close of escrow. Communication with Melanie and her staff is unfailingly cordial and on point.
