I met Ed on the golf course and during some business talk, he informed me of Home Street's "prime + 0" rate with zero closing costs. I asked him if I could call him the next Monday and of course he obliged.

Ed's professionalism, timely followup, and control of the entire process shed light on why he is your Branch Manager. The last HELOC I opened (and now closed) with another local bank took significantly more effort and took nearly 4 times as long.

I have closed all my accounts with the other bank, and plan to open a checking and savings account with Home Street in the coming weeks.
