Gadwood and Associates were absolutely phenomenal from the moment we called Nick to ask for his help in searching for our new home, all the way through the closing process! Our buying process required us to search online as well as travel because we lived in MN and planned to move to KC. The first thing Nick did was a phone interview to understand our preferences (style, size, location, amenities, type of yard...you name it) and we downloaded an app that sent us notifications of homes coming on the market and suggested listings to review. From there, we chose some homes to tour and then flew to KC to begin our search. Nick quickly picked up on my likes and dislikes. Always made himself available to accommodate my travel and answered texts and phone calls immediately. He found us the perfect home and covered the details that really mattered most. The NextHome Gadwood Group helped set up our utilities, internet and insurance which made the transition a breeze. We highly recommend Nick/Gadwood and Associates!! Top notch!!

We highly recommend Nick Gadwood if you are in need of a realtor. Nick not only advised us on how to prepare our primary home of 31 years for the market but also then sold it in one day for $20K over asking price! He was also instrumental in finding our daughter her first home. Nick’s positive attitude, upbeat demeanor, willingness to help out and his knowledge of the real estate market are so admirable. He gets an A+ for communication and organization as he kept us updated each step of the way. Our daughter was looking for her first home in this very competitive market. Nick thoroughly searched and toured many properties and was patient to not push her to buy any house but waited to find the right house that checked off her list of “must haves”. Nick’s negotiation skills on both the selling and buying side were impressive as he came up creative options for offers/counter offers to maximize gain while completing the sale/purchase. It was also refreshing to deal with a person who possesses a strong sense of ethics. Whether you are buying or selling a home- Nick is the realtor that you want to represent you!

Nick did a wonderful job helping us find a home in a competitive market. I appreciate how Nick understood what type of homes we were looking for and often highlighted the ones he thought we'd like. Knowing how busy we were, Nick also toured homes ahead of us to let us know what he believed we would think of it to help narrow our options. I appreciate how, when making offers, he explained in detail how we could make more attractive offers and what the contract terms would mean for us as a buyer.
He was also very professional and sold our current home in a day for over the asking price. The pictures of our (including drone footage) home, video tour, and well-crafted description resulted in many showings and a jam-packed open house. In both buying and selling, Nick was great at helping provide resources for everything that needed to be done, like contractor work and inspections. If we enter the home market again, we will be calling Nick.

I am honestly not sure where to even begin with this review other than to say I could never properly express how much of a positive difference Nick Gadwood with the NextHome Gadwood Group made in my first home search, an experience that spanned several years and multiple market changes. Nick was always available to answer questions and ease my concerns about the process. His realtor experience in conjunction with his connectivity to the community was essential in providing me with contractors and companies that could assist with projects outside of finding and buying my home.
I lost track of the number of listed houses we checked out together (not including the even larger number of houses that were filtered through a preliminary checklist of sorts based on my preferences), but he never made me feel like a burden and I did not feel rushed or pressured into any decisions. I can say with near certainty that I would not be a homeowner right now if it weren’t for Nick Gadwood (and his coworkers at NextHome). I am so grateful that I had his support and would highly recommend NextHome Gadwood Group!

Nick was truly exceptional. The knowledge that he has about the home value and housing market is something that we really appreciated. And we can’t tell you enough how flexible and efficient this guy is. We were only able to find our perfect home because he was quick enough to schedule a showing without any planning at 8 p.m., and we were able to submit our offer that night. He got our offer ready just in time.

He made us feel comfortable enough, so we were not afraid of asking any silly questions that a first-time home buyer would have. He also has a lot of knowledge about small details about the house and trends, which was great to bounce ideas off of to decide if we should update anything or not.

We had him driving 30–40 minutes in opposite directions multiple times a day, and he was just as excited and energetic for each one of those houses as we were. His passion for real estate does reflect in his work, and we are so grateful that we chose him to help us find our perfect home!!

Nick and his team were extremely responsive to our requests and demonstrated a great deal of real estate savvy. We were new to the short term rental business and Gadwood and Associates helped research the best locations to find that new AirBnB/VRBO. Found it in a location we had not thought of at all. Perfect location, home, price, features and timing!
