Joseph 'Jojo' Tanos was introduced to real estate at eighteen years old by a friend. Forty-three years later, Jojo's interest has turned into a passion, making it his mission to help individuals and families find their home. He spent the first twenty years of his career serving residential and commercial real estate in the Philippines. Shortly after moving to the Bay Area in 2000, he became a Realtor and continued his passion for serving clients, starting in the Contra Costa Area and beyond. He strives to give his clients a positive real estate experience through his attention to detail, work ethic, and kindness. Jojo attributes his warm and caring personality to his family, his wife of thirty-six years, along with his children and grandchildren. In fact, his son, Joe, joined the business in 2021, and together, they've made it their father-son mission to help clients meet their present and future real estate needs.

We met Jojo by chance. We were looking to purchase a plot of land for building our future home and while looking at properties in the East Bay Area. During one of these phone calls, I had a chat with Jojo and it was immediately clear to me that he was a honest, forthright person. He advised me right-away that the property is pending sale and I would be able to proceed only if that offer does not go through. He then helped me with resources (general contractor contacts, mortgage specialists) to estimate home building and financing and be better informed before making the purchase decision. He understood my concerns and that I needed time to make the necessary background checks and be sure that property is for me. He was not at all pushy. He also helped provide as many details of the property -- the current approved agreements with the city and what it would take to get the remaining permits. Eventually, by chance, the previously proposed sale didn't go through and I was able to make an offer on the property which was comfortable for me. Because of our previously completed homework on this property we were able to move quickly and close the sale.
During the entire process, it was looking out for our interests, our concerns and making sure that we were comfortable both with the purchase and we would be left in a comfortable position with developing the property afterwards. Mr. Tanos negotiated with the bank for a better price which was available because Mr. Tanos had me park-approved immediately rather than waiting for my offer to be accepted.
