MTG Family Mortgage is led by Michael Gonzales, a Certified Mortgage Advisor, and consists of family members that support various functional areas of the business. Our name means more than just the fact that our team is a family, it means our customers are family too.

Michael, branch manager and senior loan officer, has been in the industry for more than 20 years and has helped 2,000+ families achieve the dream of home ownership. He was a recipient of Mortgage Professionals of America Young Guns Award, National Mortgage Professionals 40 to Watch and is a certified instructor for continuing education courses on various loan products to industry professionals. Michael has also earned President’s Club for the past three years as one of Open Mortgage’s top producing loan officers nationwide.

Michael graduated with his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from WSU. He and his wife are avid dog lovers and rescued all their “fur babies” and currently foster. One-hundred percent of his continuing education class proceeds are donated to the Kansas Humane Society.

There are three huge milestones in people’s life – the day they get married, the day they buy their first home and the day they have a child. Michael says regularly he is so passionate about his job because he gets to be a part of one of those milestones.

Michael and his team recovered my first mortgage experience from a different (online) company that was going above and beyond to solicit extraneous information. He was always courteous, quick to respond, and even worked on a weekend to make my original closing date happen with less than half the time to prepare. With his underwriters in-house, there was not as much "waiting for responses and reviews" from a third party. I would highly recommend MTG to anyone in the area looking for a mortgage!
