I went through a few buying and selling houses in my life time. I never understand the term ‘fiduciary duty’ of a realtor. So when I bought my first house in CA after I moved from East Coast to West coast with a realtor from the Internet. I was a total stranger in CA and anxious to settle. In the process, the realtor was not much of a help, she just wants to get the deal thru and gets paid. Well, she is just a typical or less a realtor. So be it, I said to myself. About a year and half ago, I met Jas in an open house event, I express my interest in finding a suitable condo for my son. I described to her of my requirements. I gave her my contact information and asked her to give me a call if she finds anything interesting. My requirements are too rigid and expect no further communication. Surprise, surprise, 6 month later she called me that a condo meets my requirements and asked me if I am still interested in looking at it. My response was positive, but I did not fall in love with it after the showing. Undaunted, she continue to keep her eye on the market and informed me of any new findings. In the process, she analyzes each showing pro and con. She shows tremendous patience with me and never tired of my repetitive questions. She actually cares more of my satisfaction than just to get paid. She looks after my interest to such a degree that she could derail a deal. Ha, ha, now I understand the term ‘fiduciary duty’. What an exceptional life experience. Even after I owned the unit, she is still checking with us any help she could offer and to make sure that I am still happy with the deal, even paid me visits. What a wonder business experience I had! Charlie
