ABOUT DAVID AND HELEN

I have been a licensed California Realtor since 1984, and during that time have worked in various areas of the real estate profession, such as mortgage lending for 7 years, I have done long-term and vacation rental property management for many years, residential construction, and of course real estate sales. I have also been Nevada licensed since 2003. Sales has been my favorite, as it lets me meet and work with many people to help them attain their real estate goals, either in buying or selling. The challenges and situations are endless, and the fun of dealing with the people and the situations is very exciting.
 
Helen and I work together. She has been a custom home developer and has built and sold 17 spec homes in the Tahoe Basin, Incline Village, Montreux and Arrowcreek in Reno.  Helen has also been in the real estate business all of her life, starting out working with her father, Earl Tanner of Tanner Construction and Investment Co in San Jose, and has been licensed since 1967.  She helped him build and develop several apartment complexes and did the property management for him.  She and I work together in showing properties and working with sellers. We own or have owned vacation and long term rental properties so understand the aspects of renting your vacation property out to enjoy the home yourself and still have others help cover the expenses of your investment.  We can bring a lot of personal experience and knowledge to these transactions.  Helen did mortgage banking for over fifteen years while she first started her spec building business, she worked for four very large nationwide companies and was a top producing loan officer.
 
I have continued my real estate education since first becoming licensed, taking classes in appraisal, ethics, trust fund management, and other classes, and have attained my Certified Residential Specialist designation, a designation held by only about 4% of Realtors nationwide.
