I can't stress enough how thankful I am to have dealt with Stephen, Gail, Kelly and the team during the entire process of purchasing a home in the super difficult Bay Area market.
They are all very experienced, and it shows. They transformed my perception, in a super positive way, of the value these professionals can bring to a transaction.

Stephen was my contact point. He has a very extensive knowledge of the area, high responsiveness, experience in the process, and his negotiation skills helped me get a great deal.
Not to mention the team did not disappear after closing, they kept following up where necessary. They really do care about their clients !

Gail and Stephen are just awesome! We heard about them through a friend and decided to give them a call. When we met them, they were so well prepared. They showed us all kinds of information and data that helped us see how the market was and what we could expect to see. They explained it in very simple terms. Some realtors that we had met with, either did not explain anything to us or were too complicated in their explanation. Stephen is extremely detail and process-oriented which really helped us. We were selling as well as buying. They made the entire process so seamless. Stephen really wanted us to be happy with what we wanted. He came to each open house and each house we wanted to visit. Such a sweet guy. And Gail, I am just so impressed with her selling skills. When we were getting our house prepared for an open house, she was right there in each and every detail. She met with all the workers that needed to spruce the place up. I saw her scrubbing the cabinets herself the day before the open house!! She took care of everything – the cleaning, the staging both before and after! We had to have some work done around the house for selling, and she just took care of everything seamlessly! Selling and buying can be painful and stressful but both Stephen and Gail made is much less painful and stress-free! We could not have had a better experience! We had our deck done and she met and negotiated for us as well! An excellent husband-wife team. Their communication with us was flawless. We ended up buying first and then selling. Stephen was right there with us each and every step of the selling process. Explained all the terms very well. When we got ready to sell, Gail did an impressive job with the open house. She was innovative and so welcoming! I am so glad we hired them to be by our side through the entire process. You will not regret hiring them to meet your realty needs!!!

I'm a Realtor in the Las Vegas area and was referred to Gail & Stephen. My parents had finally decided to make the move to Nevada and they needed to sell their home of 40 years. My husband and I were first time home-buyers, not native to the Bay Area. Since we moved to San Jose just over 3 years ago, the though of purchasing a home in this area was overwhelming and we did not know where to begin. We worked with Stephen recently when buying our first home here in the Bay Area. At our first meeting he walked us through the process of buying in this market and made what initially felt like a very complex and daunting task feel much easier. He helped us narrow down exactly what our needs and requirements were and happily worked with us as those evolved and changed. He was very knowledgeable about the local areas and schools and would give his honest opinion if we were considering something he thought might not be the best fit. We are a British couple who were buying for the first time in the US. Stephen, although he has been in the US for decades, was originally British. As such, he was ideally placed to help us. He had a good grasp of what we wanted from a home and was able to point us to neighbourhoods that would suit us. He set up searches for us and modified them as we changed our minds about places and prices. It is interesting that we ended up in a house (that we are delighted with) in one of the first neighbourhoods that Stephen suggested to us.
Stephen explained the buying process to us. And when it came to the time that we were making offers and signing documents, he came out in the evenings because my husband couldn't get to day time meetings.
Our house required tenting; he organised that for us, and gave me lists of the local utility companies so that I could set up our utilities ready for moving in.
Stephen also put us in touch with the a couple of people on the money side (we couldn't buy without a mortgage) who were both excellent.
We would recommend Slater Thomson Team at Intero if you need help finding a new home.

Stephen Slater was truly amazing in walking us through our home buying experience. He helped us refine what we wanted, narrow it down online so we didn't waste time on houses that didn't meet our needs and was extremely flexible working with our schedules to see the homes we wanted to. I needed a lot of help in prepping my home of 28 years for sale. I don't know what I would have done without Gail and Stephen's patience and expert guidance. AMAZING! Think of a client that is a little all over the place and multiply that by 100... that was us. We looked at the traditional ready house, the renovation project and the from scratch land purchase project. They have extensive knowledge in ALL of those situations having done large scale home renovations themselves. They were tireless in showing us properties and explaining the possibilities. Gail and Stephen were always clear with the situation and walked us through thoroughly so everything was clear and upfront. I can not recommend them highly enough, they are great people that offer a great service to their clients.

Gail and Stephen helped us tremendously through our first experience selling a home. They took care to make sure all of the details were worked out and provided a lot of knowledge regarding the what were the best options to get what we were looking for out of the sale (price, time, ease, feeling good about the process). We ran into a hiccup with the buyer closing and an issue with the escrow resolution, but Stephen did a fantastic job tracking down the info and updates for us.
