listing, to the closing day on our house Donovan Birch was amazing. We were trying to buy a home while simultaneously moving to Portland from the other side of the world. His knowledge of the areas and market proved invaluable as he guided us to finding the perfect home for our family. Donovan is also extremely well versed in the VA programs, and knows just how to advocate for military clients using these types of loans. In this crazy market we figured out very quickly just how important it is to have an agent that is confident providing sellers information about the ins and outs of VA loans. I originally started working with an agent here last summer, but ended up deciding not to purchase at that time. When the time was right this summer, the agent we worked with last year had moved away, but handed us off to Ivy Chappelle. This ended up being one of the most fortuitous things to happen to us. Ivy was wonderful. She was responsive, helpful, knowledgeable, and REALLY took the time to figure out what on earth we were looking for, even when the criteria changed on a minute to minute basis (we are very demanding people!). Ivy never seemed annoyed with my thousands of questions or pushy nature. She ended up showing us a house that wasn't one we had really been interested in seeing, but she was on the money- it was the perfect house for our needs. Ivy helped us get the house for UNDER asking price (in this market!), and coordinated EVERYTHING- from the inspections to special paperwork to the tenant who was causing all KINDS of issues for us. I think she would have taken care of our loan paperwork if she could have!! I know it is rare for a real estate agent to get such a glowing review, and a lot of people end up not loving their agent very much. I don't even leave reviews very often, but we were really, really lucky to have found Ivy and this agency. I don't know what we would have done without her. I hope that people can read this and are wise enough to contact Ivy, the decision will make your life a lot easier.
