It is difficult to overstate just how dedicated Michele is to her clients, how much knowledge she has about the real estate business and what a pleasure it is to work with her. In 2019 she helped us sell our starter home and purchase our second one. Michele offered to take care of all the communication and arrangements. In the end all I had to do was pay the bills. We arrived home a few days later; the tree was gone and the roof was repaired. I don’t think we can ever find the words to express how highly we recommend Michele Harkov as a realtor. She worked with us to find our dream home over a two-year-period (with a 16-month gap due to Covid, when we couldn’t travel to CA.) Michele’s upbeat personality is the first thing you notice about her, but her knowledge of the real estate market is profound. She seemingly knows every neighborhood in every city we were interested in, in San Mateo County. Our initial time with her was spent viewing different neighborhoods in different cities, so we had a feel for what cities might work best for us. Not only did she know of the neighborhoods, but she almost always seemed to know someone who lived in each neighborhood, who could answer a question about that area, if we had one.

Michele has an endless list of people to call upon, to do work on a home you are considering buying or selling (e.g., how much will a new roof or new windows cost?) Once you’ve bought a home, she continues to follow-up and give you recommendations for every resource imaginable, if needed. Michele was also amazingly responsive whenever we had a question, and we felt totally supported in our seemingly endless quest to find a home. Even though there were many, many homes we saw and rejected, Michele never made us feel like we were taking up too much of her time. Rather than trying to sell us any house, Michele would always point out the negatives to a home, along with the positives. She can magically detect a floor which is unlevel just by walking on it.

What we most appreciated about Michele occurred twice when we were all set to bid on a home, and expressed to Michele that we didn’t think that it was our dream home, but we were just weary of the search. In each instance, she told us that there would be another home to come, and even in this very tight real estate market, we shouldn’t be discouraged. She told us not to buy a home unless we truly felt positive about it. We let both of those homes go, and then happily did find the home of our dreams which had everything we were looking for.

Finally, Michele’s negotiating skills are superior. In the final round of bidding to buy our home, she saved us a substantial amount of money in advising us how high she thought we should go, which was less than our top number. While we were stressing out, Michele stayed calm. Michele then followed up with the appraiser to make sure our home appraised for the full amount we paid, even though we all thought that might not happen. We also saw that for those whose home she is selling, Michele comes in with a crew and transforms the house into its best possible presentation. We simply cannot imagine any broker putting more time, expertise or positive energy into buying or selling a home. Based upon the many realtors we met with in terms of selling our prior home and buying a new one, Michele is truly the rare gem!

We were very fortunate to have found Michele as our agent when looking for a second home in the Bay Area where our children live. In fact, our son and daughter-in-law related such a good experience with Michele in buying their home in Sunnyvale that we were impressed enough to contact her. She is definitely a top tier realtor, providing services I would expect, and others I wouldn't. She was always available to take our call, videoed the property so completely (with her verbal impressions) that we had a good idea of what we were buying and the surrounding area. She contacted the HOA reps to find out about parking and restrictions, quickly got all docs to us digitally so we could read them over before signing, took the keys to my son's home after closing since we couldn't be there. Always respectful of our needs, Michele took time to physically show the home to us when we were in town during escrow. We loved it and realized that she did a good job of representing it to us. Working with Michele on the sale of my home was a pleasure. This was my first time selling a house, so Michele was very patient and knowledgeable when it came to guiding me through the entire process. I had recently moved out of state, so after our initial meetings all of our interactions were virtual (text, phone, Zoom, etc.). Despite that, everything went super smoothly, and I was even able to sign all the final paperwork through a local notary. We discussed our goals and bottom-line number with Michele, and then turned it all over to her.
