As a Child, my parents would have probably described me as precocious, creative, and driven. I wanted to be an entrepreneur (although I did not understand the meaning of the word) from as far back as I could remember. Getting my start with lemonade stands and campfire sales, and at the age of 16, I started working with my father on plans to start drive through coffee shops in California. My favorite class in school was always math, I especially loved story problems. I did not know then, that I would grow up to be in a career where I spent every day solving problems and creating solutions in order to help people obtain their dream of home ownership or facilitate a refinance.

I grew up in Seattle Washington and moved to San Diego California at the age of 18. In 2001, I started my career in the mortgage industry as a Loan consultant. I had plans to go to San Diego State in the second trimester and was offered a position a few months before school started. I was the youngest in my office by at least 10 years and the only female loan officer. I knew right away I had found my calling and could not wait to sink my teeth into my new career despite the odds that seemingly were against me. Within months, I became the top loan consultant within my office and would go on for the next two years to continually receive awards and recognition for my high closing volume each month.
Fast forward to 17 years later, and I am still just as passionate about my career, if not more so. I believe what makes my career so enjoyable is helping people, and surmounting what is seemingly impossible, and making it possible for many people.

I cannot thank Alexis enough for all her hard work.. She is honest, trust worthy, professional and has a heart of gold.. Loan process was super easy. Unfortunately we had a few set backs due to the builders, but Alexis came ALL the way through and had our backs 100%. This is our second home purchase with Alexis and she does not fail.

I have worked with Alexis Roper for several years, and she has always done an outstanding job. In fact, I have referred clients to her that no other lender would touch, and she came through for them and made it happen! I have also used her for several personal refinances. One of the things I like best about Alexis is that she is always honest. There are some clients I referred to her that simply did not have the proper qualifications to get any kind of loan, and she leveled with them and told them that, but also created a plan so they could be ready soon. On a personal note, I was probably her most problematic client during my last refi, as I kept changing my mind, nonetheless she was always there for me, and super supportive, and came up with new options and choices. With our not so great credit score and other bumps, Alexis and her team made our dream turn into reality. Alexis did an excellent job throughout the entire process of purchase. As I look around my beautiful brand new home my heart is filled with gratefulness. Alexis Roper and her team are the main reason I can say this today. In March 2019 I closed escrow on a very much needed change of residence. Over the past 5 years I lost my husband to cancer and battled cancer myself two years ago.

Alexis was amazing!!! She went above and beyond for us several times throughout the entire process of purchasing our new home. One of these times involved her working late on a Sunday in order to help us put a last minute offer in on the home. This is certainly one of the reasons we were able to get the home. On another occasion, she tried chasing down multiple FedEx trucks who had not delivered our signing docs on time (through no fault of her own). These are just two ways that she did more than what we expected. She was truly great to work with!!
