Mike was awesome! He communicated with both myself and our client without prompting. He provided updates throughout escrow and communicated with the listing agent as well. Mike was really friendly, responsive, and flexible throughout the whole process! He was always available to answer any questions (and I had lots). He also always kept us updated regarding everything that was going on which was extremely helpful. And on top of that he helped us find homeowners insurance which was extremely helpful due to the fact that our new home was in a high fire area so we were constantly getting denied with so many different companies. He made the process extremely easy and straightforward! He wont steer you wrong and will help make it happen!

As an experienced home buyer, I asked for Michael's help with a situation that required his broker expertise and advice. After the initial loan application, he gave me realistic parameters to work with. Due to Michael's hard work and diligence, I was approved and closed on my new home in just 28 days! During the whole process, he proactively communicated with both brokers and myself to make sure that he covered all aspects of the purchase. He handled my questions and concerns with ease and grace. My husband and I are first time home buyers, and we were really excited, but scared to start the home buying process. There were a lot of unknowns for us, and we wanted a lender that we could trust to get the best possible rates during this competitive market.

Mike immediately constructed a plan for us, and did everything he could to go above and beyond for our loan. We were able to have two of our offers accepted immediately with an FHA loan! He even called some of the agents to give them everything they needed to have peace of mind about having a smooth transaction process.

Mike was seriously the best!! The process was extremely smooth, no stress, very knowledgable, all of the above. Mike was even on vacation in Hawaii and STILL worked so hard to get us this house, Like worked harder than people that were at their regular jobs at home! I can't recommend him enough if you're trying to buy a house.

I have had the privilege and joy of knowing and working with Mike on multiple mortgages over a period of eleven years, going back all the way to 2011. I recommend Mike to you with no hesitation or qualification whatsoever.

He is a man of impeccable integrity, unrivaled professionalism, and he is a mortgage broker that just knows how to get things done. He is incredibly resourceful, has a wonderful team working with him, and in spite of his many gifts and skills he still manages to be one the friendliest, kindest, most down to earth people I have ever known or dealt with.

In 2011 he helped my family with a very difficult modification. Back when the housing market crashed, I found myself with a mortgage that was underwater. It did not have a fixed rate, nor were the taxes included! It was a nightmare, but Mike was somehow able to get me some $70,000 forgiven, got me a lower fixed rate, and had my monthly payment lowered!

Ten years later in January of 2021, I was able to refinance the loan on a duplex and pulled enough money for a downpayment for another home. Of course, Mike again got me excellent results. Moving forward one year, I was able to close on a new home (01/05/22). Mike got me an excellent rate, referred me to a superb realtor, who managed to get me a house in a prime neighborhood in Westchester. I was able to buy the home for less money than it was valued. Mike got my loan started, approved and funded in less than 21 days, even though Christmas and New Years were included in this timeframe.

Buying a home and doing a loan modification can be very stressful. Have Mike confidently and calmly do the heavy lifting for you. I cannot recommend him enough.

Mike and staff did a great job with my loan- when it came to speed, keeping me posted of where we were in the process by far exceeded my expectations. Mike stepped in and helped me when after I had been working with another mortgage company and they dropped the ball. Mike picked up their mess and had everything sorted out and in about six weeks getting my loan completed (something the other mortgage company had not been able to do in 8 months of stringing me along to do a VA Loan refi). Thank you Mike for your excellent work ethic and how seamless you and Ron made this process. By far the best mortgage broker I've had the pleasure of working with!

He helped us get literally the lowest rate possible and worked tirelessly on our behalf. Our situation was a little complicated and he handled it so easily and graciously! I'm sure it was a real pain but he never complained and kept in constant communication.

I have worked with others who have way less knowledge and patience. Mike is a great guy and very good at his job. I don't think you'll find a better service provider out there.

Michael O'Connor was a blessing to our family, we are very thankful for his help and we would highly and happily recommended him.

Michael O'Connor was recommended to us by our financial advisor, who told of his own great experience with Mike. Couldn't get a more impressive recommendation than that.
From the first day of contact to day of funding, Mike was involved, communicative, positive, and hard working.
Our goal was to Refi our home loan and take some money out of the equity in order to have some work done to the property. My husband is self employed, I don't have an income, and we have a rental property. We were told those factors make for a complicated Refi. In fact, Rocket Mortgage (Quicken Loans) turned us down, even with our high credit scores. To be honest, our egos were a little bruised.
We were hesitant to try again, but because of the great recommendation, we gave Mike a call. From minute one, he was easy to talk to, easy to understand, kind and knowledgeable. He explained Quicken likes to fund easy loans, but he wasn't afraid of a little extra work and saw no reason we couldn't Refi and take a cash out.
First things first. Mike sent a list of items he needed, such as bank statements and tax returns. He provided a secure email link system which made sending to him a breeze and without worry. Everything was done online and over the phone, except for signing the final documents, which was done at our convenience with a Notary, at our home. I'm not very techy. Mike made the whole process easy peasy, even for me.
We had heard these things can take 2 or 3 months, so we were prepared for a long wait. However, bc of Mike's dedication and attention to detail, from day of first contact to the date the Refi was complete (including the wire transfer of the cash out) was exactly 21 days! I don't know if that's typical for Mike, but we are certainly impressed.
Other than a small misunderstanding with the Title Co., our Refi was smooth as silk. (BTW, Mike immediately stepped in and resolved the little snafu within an hour). We know this was due to Mike's experience and knowledge of the industry. He seems to enjoy his work and has a genuine interest in helping people with their home loan needs.
