John Wong

John Yen Wong graduated from Yale University in 1975 with a degree in Biology.  He began his real estate career in 1981, and has been both a salesperson in and an owner of real estate companies.  In 2003, Realtor Magazine named John as one the 25 most influential people in real estate.  He is the Asian Real Estate Association of America’s 2006 “Real Estate Person of the Year,” and in 2011, was inducted in the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Manager’s “Hall of Leaders.”

John had owned and managed a real estate company for 16 years, and is currently a Broker Associate with the San Francisco office of Intero Real Estate Services, a Berkshire Hathaway Affliliate.  His business, from its inception, has included buyers sellers with Asian backgrounds, both domestic and global.  In his 36 years in real estate, John has personally been involved in or has supervised 1,000s of real estate transactions.  Mastering the real estate "Art of the Interaction" is a lifelong quest for John.

John was the 2005 President of the San Francisco Association of Realtors and is currently a Director for the California Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors.  These activities have added to his knowledge of California real estate transactions.  His has had ample opportunities to stay current on changing brokerage requirements and he has consistently taken advantage of these opportunities

John was the 2004 National President for the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers.  Now operating as Real Estate Business Institute (REBI), the Council during John’s tenure was known at “CRB”.  The experience with the CRB keeps him current on brokerage business models and evolving trends from a national perspective.
