We would highly recommend Solar Energy World and our consultant Daren for residential rooftop solar. While Solar Energy World wasn't the cheapest option, they were the best reviewed and, we felt, the most knowledgeable about the industry, the technology, and costs.
Our consultant Daren was fantastic. He didn't try to convince us or upsell us or push us into quickly signing a contract. He took the time to explain everything to us, gave us hard data to help inform our decisions, and walked us through every step. He really wanted to educate us and to help us make the best decision for our home and wallets. He didn't come across as a sales consultant and I mean that in the best possible way.
Solar Energy World took care of everything once we signed, including all the permits (county and city). We just sat back and watched the progress tracker on their customer portal and signed documents when requested. Daren kept in touch throughout the process, informing us when we reached another milestone and checking in with our progress while we waiting. We signed at the end of April and had our install in mid-July.
We have recommended both Solar Energy World and Daren to friends and neighbors interested in solar and will continue to do so.

Darren has been very helpful to me over the past 2 or 3 years. He helped with getting our original system installed, and also with the timing on installing a small battery after a couple of years.

We were introduced to Daren by a neighbor who expressed great testimony of Daren's professionalism and knowledge of his industry. We were not let down... Daren knows his stuff and also acted as an extremely effective project manager ensuring all details, no matter how small, were handled as promised. We had an amazing experience and would highly recommend that you put yourself in the hands of Daren if you are considering Solar Panel Installation!

We were lucky that we were matched Solar Energy World as it was one of the easiest things we have ever done. Daren came by and expertly explained everything. While we had read up some, we certainly did not know all of the details, technical or otherwise. In the end, we got a fairly large installation as we are at the top of the hill and all four sides of the roof get sun at different times.
But, really what was most important that was that we did almost nothing. SEW took care of all permits and all contacts with PEPCO as well as applying for state grant money. Installation was done quickly and efficiently. The only thing that people should know is that this is not an instantaneous thing as permits and schedules and such take time. But it is working and working great. The latest PEPCO bill? -$8.37. Yes, minus.
