Rick R. Rodriguez has been in mortgage sales and management since 2003, and has held positions as a loan originator, sales manager, production manager, and branch manager. He is experienced in all types of mortgage products, and over his career he has been recognized as a skilled and trusted professional. In 2004, after completing his first reverse mortgage transaction, Rick moved on to focus primarily on reverse mortgages and become a specialist in the industry. In February 2016, he became the first person in Southern Nevada and the 117th individual in the nation to obtain the designation as a Certified Reverse Mortgage Professional (CRMP®).
As a reverse mortgage professional, Rick has extensive experience in all available reverse mortgage products, including the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) refinance, HECM for purchase and jumbo reverse mortgage. His clients benefit from his financial background, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and years of experience working with reverse mortgages. He has the proven ability to articulate the reverse mortgage process to help others better understand the implications of a reverse mortgage.
Rick continues to show his passion for reverse mortgages and his commitment to the industry. He spends his time working with homeowners, realtors, health care professionals, and various other professionals and organizations to better understand the role reverse mortgages have in real estate and retirement planning.
Rick is a Las Vegas native and he holds a BSBA in Accounting from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. After graduating college, he worked for a local Certified Public Accounting firm before moving into the mortgage industry in 2003. Rick helped me with my first reverse mortgage in 2019 when I moved from Orange County California. Rick worked closely with both my brokers to close escrow without too much brain damage. Then again in 2020 when rates dropped, Rick helped with a a refinance of my reverse mortgage. He and his staff were very professional and responsive each step of the way. A great manager is many things and Rick is all of those. But... for older people, they also go by their "gut instinct." Our instinct told us we could depend on Rick. It was correct. In today's world most of us have had many mortgages. And we know how to cope with the process. But later in life, here comes that thing called a 'reverse mortgage'. Something we've never had before and don't know much about (most of us anyway). OK. It's just a loan. (Sort of). And it is the 'sort of' that keeps many of us from getting a reverse mortgage. I was pushed by our son to get this type of mortgage. Then we found Rick. Yes, we had tried to figure it out all by ourselves, but there is nothing like having a person that already knows all about a subject, to steer you though the process. We are so glad we found him. While no monetary process is without it's pitfalls, we found that having Rick at our side, we bypassed all of them. It was a pleasant ride. We went to the office, signed some 'pre-filled out' paperwork and went home to wait. Figured it would take a couple of months (just like every mortgage we've ever had). Half-way through the two-month wait, we get a call from Rick, to come in and sign the 'final paperwork'. What a pleasant surprise. Rick was right there to answer any questions we had (We did have a few). In an hour, we were done and on our way home to wait out the three-day rescission period. Got a phone call from Rick at the end of the three days, telling us it was 'still all good'.

What a pleasure to work with this young man. Very knowledgeable and certainly personable. We made the best choice. Thank you Rick. Pat & Fred W.
