With over 14 years of residential and multi-family property sales combined with past development project experience, I provide consulting and motivation using my extensive contract experience, property research and valuation expertise. As a Realtor I am conscientious and make sure that all facets of a deal are done in an ethical and professional manner, and have a long history of absolute integrity. I provide my clients with compelling opportunities to achieve their real estate goals and am highly knowledgeable and successful in producing winning real estate transactions. In addition to my real estate experience, I was a contractor for 17 years. That field involved client communication, problem solving, project implementation, negotiation and sales with experience in both property remodels and ground up construction. I then followed that with a 15-year career in national and global semiconductor sales that helped to further develop my extensive background in marketing and sales.

I am an individual who attempts to solve problems by listening to others with care and respect and am proactive in learning about society’s needs and supporting clients. I can empathize and relate well with all ages of people and can address their unique real estate needs. Since 2006 I have been a Realtor assisting buyers and sellers of residential real estate. As a Professional Fiduciary I am frequently called upon to sell properties for clients. Usually, I know nothing about the properties and I call Steve to come and inspect the properties with me to get his professional opinion. Steve has a unique ability to locate issues and suggest remedies to bring the property to a saleable position and quickly bring the property to the market. Once the listing agreement is signed Steve handles all the contractors, permits and oversees the work, checking in with me as needed. I frequently am contacted by other realtors who would like me to refer listings to them but I stick with Steve and I consider him as a part of my team.

My wife and I had a number of challenges in selling our home in Silicon valley and relocating somewhere more affordable in the Bay area. Steve was on top of the whole process from the start. He lined up several contractors immediately to help get the house ready in a few weeks. The house sold at above asking in the first week. Steve also did everything possible to help get us a new House and close before we had to move out of the old house. I would strongly recommend Steve to any potential home seller or buyer.

Stephen Guzzetti is professional yet friendly, efficient, honest, informative, smart and has a positive attitude. He helped my brother and I sell our mother’s home after her passing. He was very compassionate and understanding throughout the entire process. He could easily relate to our frustrations and emotions since he went through a similar experience last year.
He was always motivating in a positive and constructive way without being pushy. He always took the time to explain everything to us multiple times in detail so there would never be any surprises. Steve was never afraid to get his hands dirty and was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it be moving furniture or changing a light bulb. We highly recommend him to sell your home. We feel like we’ve made a new family friend.

TL;DR
I highly recommend Steve if you are in the market to purchase a property. He is a bay area local and has all the right ingredients to be a great buyers agent.

We started looking for homes couple of months ago with very specific criteria that is rather hard to meet in the bay area. We accidentally found Steve during our general research and decided to meet him after a couple of phone conversations. He was very patient and highly engaged during the entire conversation. It felt like we were talking to a friend and not to a real estate agent. Our budget was a little tight but the criteria was rather steep. This did not sway Steve away though. He made notes on what we wanted and gave us an impression that was willing to work with us for as long as it takes.

We looked at few properties based on our research and as well as Steve's recommendations. He provided us great insights that helped us digest the information well.

Finally, we made couple of offers. Steve never pushed us to increase the offer price even when we lowballed it a lot without any real chance of succeeding (however, he did provide us with the necessary insights). We had to deal with a very difficult seller but Steve absorbed all the pressure and vagaries from the seller. Not but not the least, even after we closed and moved, Steve was still there to help us.

All in all, Steve is a great guy with awesome expertise. We not only ended up buying our dream home but we also made a great friend.

Steve was a great help for us! He helped make the sale of our house and then purchase of our next house so smooth and easy. When selling our house he had a beautiful brochure made quickly. He was there at every open house and gave us plenty of warning when the house would be shown so we had maximum time to prepare. When buying our house he made sure and watched over some peliminary work that needed to be done before we moved in. The extra care he took saved us so much time and gave us the pleasure of not stressing during our move in process.

I would highly recommend Steve Guzzetti to help sell your home.

I started thinking about selling my childhood home and remembered that the owner of the house next door was a realtor that had contacted me some time earlier.

I was convinced from my very first conversation with Steve that he could help me sell my house (even though I was two states away and hadn't actually met him yet).

He had resources to help with all the issues that could and did arise. We needed to pull up carpet, do touch up painting, get an appraisal, do landscaping and much, much more. He did it all and was conscientious about the cost! I flew in a few times (the final time to sign papers), and was pleased with the progress. The time frame he promised was spot-on.

He was very professional and very personable, knew how to do everything that needed to be done to get the house ready for sale, and then proceeded to get it on the market and then get it sold.

Steve helped us buy a house in 2011. He was professional, knowledgeable, and most of all patient. We looked at a lot of houses and he never pushed us to buy something we were not happy with. Steve handled the sale of our house in Los Gatos and found a new house for us to move into. Throughout this process he was very professional and diligent. He made numerous suggestions to make our house more salable and identified and contacted workmen to do the necessary work for the improvements and upgrades. He was very thorough and knowledgeable in processing the proper, required documents. While searching for our new house he did much research to identify potential properties and drove us to tour and inspect these properties. Stephen Guzzetti did a fantastic job finding my family a great home that satisfied all our needs. Stephen was understanding and listened as we explained what we were hoping to find. He diligently searched for us and ended up showing us two homes that were better than we ever hoped we could find. I would like to comment on the service my family received from Stephen Guzzetti representing McElroy properties during the sale of my Willow Glen home. Stephen prepared us with solid step by step information on how to prepare our home for the best possible sale price. We listened to his advice and as a result had a contract in less than six weeks! We sold during a " buyers " market which made all of Stephens preparations even more important. Stephen worked tirelessly holding open houses every weekend and the online video he had prepared of our home was wonderful! Stephen kept us informed of the buyers transactions all the way to the final signing. We decided to move out of state but if we were ever to move back into the San Jose area we would certainly use Stephen Guzzetti and McElroy properties to find us a new home.
