Performance Title was an inept insulting company. They used an underwriter that wanted me to prove divorce information from four years ago. They were unprofessional and intrusive. Miracle or miracles when I refused they found another underwriter. They caused undue stress. The deed was valid and there had been two other closings on the property prior to this sale. They went so far as to contact my ex-husband. NEVER use this company. I was happy to walk away from the deal they were so obnoxious.

My closer, Sharon was lazy, incompetent, and rude. They rip you off by making you use their notary. I've closed on many properties in my life and this qualifies as the worst.

Truly a terribly run title company from branch management to staff. Having worked with title companies for three decades, it's confounding to me how they can stay in business with such a disregard for phones (they are never answered), timely communication, customer service and the benefit of a good attitude. Despite the poor performance, they charge an exorbitant closing fee that is close to double normal. Most places that charge a premium offer top-notch service but not PTE; they strive for the bottom at the top price. Zero stars if possible.

DO NOT EVEN THINK OF USING THEM!!! The absolute most unprofessional company I have ever encountered in my 9 years of real estate. They refuse to answer the phone and when you show up at their office to rectify an issue they are full of excuses and are unwilling to be accountable. They send docs to your clients without sending you a copy and I even had them change a closing time but never thought to let me know. My clients who expected me to be there as I promised to be, called and asked where I was only to learn they already signed. The response - "oh, yeah, forgot to copy you on that email". Also, an addendum to a contract was sent a month ago changing the closing date yet they continue to email and provide docs indicating the old date. Refused to acknowledge their error much less apologize. So sad...my mistake for giving them another chance and the benefit of the doubt.

This is the 3rd transaction that we have done with Performance Title and it went effortlessly with great attention to detail , email correspondence and E signing of documents.. We would therefore highly recommend them for future transactions..

Communication is not their strong suit.
It takes 2 days after consumation of the contract for the 'closing department' to scan and upload the complete closing documents so my client and I can get a copy on a cash transaction!!.
My client can't access the property because without the documents of the closing the HOA wont allow him access through the gate.
Other title companies will print and email you a copy of the closed file at closing, will make sure that all the keys are accounted for, after all there is a fee that they charge you.
Before hiring a title company do your homework compare their fees, and track record,it pays to shop around.
Take it from a Real Estate Agent that's been on the business long enough.

This was the smoothest real estate transaction we've ever been involved with. The staff was personable, professional, and extremely responsive - no question was too small or too silly.
