Welcome to my Reach150 page! Obviously, I am Austin Altman. I started in the solar industry 5 years ago because I wanted to be a part of the energy of the future. My mission is to help homeowners save money by switching to renewable energy.
Along my journey I have realized that the best part of my job is making connections with homeowners and seeing them have that "ah-ha" moment where it clicks that solar is a MUCH better way to get power than from the utility company.
Our process is simple, I call it the 3 M's:
1. Meeting - Sit down with the you and review you current energy usage and plans for the future. From there, we go through how solar works, the different programs available, and the reasons why Solar Energy World is the #1 solar company in Maryland. Finally we look at your custom system and the exact expectations and decide if solar is right for you!
2. Managing - Installing solar takes about 90-120 days from engineering/design to permitting to installation and final inspections. I stay with you every step of the way and ensure that you are well informed and can get all questions answered. My goal is a smooth journey!
3. Maintaining - Post installation I am available to you to help answer and questions and make sure that everything is working properly!

From beginning to end everyone was on time - this is unfortunately extremely rare but I must not understate its importance for customer experience and how difficult it must be to accomplish if so few can do it. Basically nothing I can complain about and I'm generally not easy to please when it comes to engineering and technical matters. Even when the installers damaged some small decorative stuff on the lawn we got a reimbursement no questions asked. This company makes it clear what you get for paying for professionals to install a solar system - an extremely low-headache process that gets results as expected. “The installation team did a fantastic job. They were on time. It took two days to do the installation. It was, kind of, difficult to be honest because of the layout of the house. They were able to do the installation in two days. He did a great job and was very professional. I'd like to recognize Charley, Elijah L., Ryan, and Mike D. for their exceptional service. They were on time every morning and professional. It was very difficult because of the way the house is constructed. Considering the weather that was coming, they got it done in two days. The entire process, from start to finish, was one of the best experiences I've had since purchasing our home. Our consultant Austin was able to handle all of our needs and made sure we were well-informed from the start. We were given plenty of notice on what the layout of the panels would look like on our roof and offered the option to alter the design if we didn't want as many panels as was planned. If we had any questions about anything, Austin made it clear he would answer any and all questions we had so that we felt comfortable with everything going on. When the time came for installation, we were told 2 days and the installers were so good I'd say it was only a day and a half. Our installers Justin and Hasan introduced themselves as soon as they arrived and made it clear that the electrician would be the only one entering the house to run the cabling from the attic to our electrical panel. During the time of COVID-19 this was a very important and thoughtful work restriction that made the experience even better. The work they did on the roof took no time at all, before I knew it they were done setting up the casings for the panels and installing them . The electricians Louis and Touch knew exactly what they were doing and made sure they did a thorough job so that there was no worry on my end. After they were done, I was walked through how the circuit works and given clear instructions on how to operate the panels. Both the installers and electricians made sure to clean up any mess they made during the installation as well. Everything was handled seamlessly by this team so that the most I had to do was sign the contract. With how well everything went, there's no question we'll be using Solar Energy World again if my wife and I ever move to another house.

Austin has been superb throughout the process of the sale and installation of my solar array. He was always available and answered all my questions; he gave me the bad news just as honestly as he gave me the good when they fell behind schedule on installs due to weather. 100% would recommend Austin and Solar Energy World generally. Austin was easy to work with and knowledgeable about the panels and installation. He remained attentive throughout the entire process, and worked to come up with some creative solutions to resolve tax implications of a delayed install.

Austin did a great job. He understands the perspective of the customer and reads people well. This is a major investment that people have to go through. It can be daunting, but Austin put us at ease with his clear communication and willingness to be available when question arises. He set the proper expectation and was patient. Just his demeanor alone will win over a customer, but his knowledge is cherry on top of the icing. He follows up and through his words. Though there are a couple of things that weren't done, but it is minor.

Austin was very informative of your product and could answer any question I had. If I reached out to him he returned my message as soon as he could. Unfortunately our installation was delayed which was not Austin's fault. But he kept us informed and up to date on the status.

My husband and I decided to install solar panels last year to be more responsible to our environment and save money in the long run. Austin was our solar analyst, and he help us every step of the way from selection of panels, application, installations to financing. He was very responsive to our questions and gone out of his way to help us. During Christmas time, one of our electric circuit was shorting, we weren't sure what caused it. Austin heard about it and sent his men over the same day. Even when they found out that the cause had nothing to do with the solar panels, the crew still fixed the problem, so that my family could have a beautiful tree for the holiday season. I only have positive thing to say about Austin and the awesome services his team had provided. I highly recommend Austin to anyone whom is considering solar as their clean energy source.
