I am the "former" owner of what was Maine's Oldest Family Grocery Store (1891 - 2024), 133 years old. 3 generations made this one go. I'm now 79, my wife is 71. My first realtor left a lot on the table for my wife to complete; even though rated one of the best in the Bangor area. We did not renew the contract with him. With the help of one of our clerks, we found Tom Cole, Better Homes Real Estate. Tom agreed to be our next realtor. He now owns his own franchise; NextHome Realty in Brunswick, Maine. I'm sure it will be a big success in the future, as he was constantly in touch with Karen and I on the sale of C.H. Mathews. Rural businesses are very hard to sell in today's world. Tom succeeded in landing the right buyer. Tom was polite, caring and understanding of what is going on in 2024. If wanting to sell our new home, Tom would be the man!
