NextHome Beyond (NHB) fulfilled my home buying objectives completely “turnkey” within 10wks, 3days and went far beyond my expectations in customer service, proficiency, user-friendly state-of-the-art technology, real-time communication, and responsiveness. About mid-August I solicited several leads from a Realtor referral company. Travis Hiatt (NHB Owner) was one of several respondents. His keen listening skills completely embraced my approach and his swift seamless integration of internet-based listings with my smart-device had set him far ahead of the “pac” and into a league all his own, as far as I was concerned. By the next day I had received electronic listings for my search criteria, made selections for viewing and had multiple showing appointments setup by Travis for the following day. It felt like I had been plugged into the “Matrix.”
During these first showings I met Travis’ partner Libby Thiltgen. The unprecedented “Ying & Yang.” “Batman & Cat-Woman.” Dynamic dual Real Estate crusaders. Staunch, savvy, astute and extremely witty. Albeit, congenial, charming and charismatic host.
Every week for the next 5 to 8 weeks this cycle of receiving electronic listings for my “learning” search criteria, making selections for viewing and having multiple showing appointments setup by Travis or Libby for the following day or two. Showings were averaging 4 to 6 per week. I began to feel like I was working with “Tommy Lee Jones” and we were looking for “Harrison Ford.” Because with Libby and Travis, based on my learning search criteria, their learning as well and our accumulating total of property showings we must have seen every “farm-house, hen-house, road-house, and out-house” within a 50mi radius of Cedar Rapids. And yes, that was my criteria too.
Travis and Libby were unwavering, undeterred and relentless in pursuit of achieving my real estate property goals and me purchasing my “dream home.” During weeks 5 to 7 the time between the listing’s “day-1” and our showing was reduced dramatically thus allowing our “buy” offer to be placed much higher, if not first for the “Seller’s” consideration. Although “timing” is not a panacea, but if and when your price-range and amenities are found it will become the ultimate determinant.
Although the elation of receiving notification of our offer accepted for the incredibly remarkable property the day after showing and between week 6 and 7 of our total (10wk, 3day) engagement there were still about 3 to 4 weeks ahead before “closing.” There was no break in the action. We had captured the elusive “Fugitive,” but now the “MATRIX” was in High-gear!
Heading towards “Closing” Libby and Travis became like extremely attentive “wedding planners” accounting for, checking and rechecking every intimate detail. They were deeply engaged with my mortgage lender and provided oversight on my behalf. Almost daily, I was kept informed and updated regarding the process and proceedings. On the day of “Closing” they made me feel like I was the “Bride.”
