I would like to Start by saying it was an absolute pleasure to work with our Realtor Matt Horton with the Shumpert group. We had visited the Columbia / Lexington area from our home in Summerville looking for a home to purchase, and had dealt with 1 or 2 other realtors with different companies. We found these realtors weren't paying close attention to our wants and needs which wasted a lot of our time traveling to the area house shopping. Once we reached out to Matt and started being shown homes, we knew right away he was the Realtor for us. He understood our time constraints from traveling from out of town to "house hunt", listened very carefully to what both my wife and I were looking for and tried to accommodate every detail. He was very very knowledgeable of the Lexington / Columbia area and not only helped find us a great home but also a great neighborhood. Matt demonstrated excellent realtor skills, not once did we feel like he was trying to make a quick sale with a lot of "fluff". He would always ask after a showing what we liked about the house and listened intently when we communicated our dislikes and tried to address these in the next showings. Matt was always quick to respond with questions or concerns all the way up to our closing date. If we ever need or need to recommend a realtor we have Matt Hortons number on speed dial!

Highly, highly recommend Tara!
We were first time, out-of-town buyers with no knowledge of South Carolina. Tara recommended certain areas for us that she thought would be a good fit. She went out to multiple houses to facetime us until we felt we found the right one! We ended up buying a new build, sight unseen, that was being built right up until we got there. Tara drove to our house EVERY week for multiple months to facetime us. If we weren't able to facetime, she would still go to the house to check how things were going, any issues she saw, etc. and send pictures. Tara was apart of every meeting we had with the builders and the mortgage company incase we needed any help. When we actually arrived and did our first walkthrough, Tara pointed out things we would have never caught. She stayed for 2.5 hours helping us blue tape anything that needed to be fixed. She asked questions to the builder so we would have knowledge for the future on any issues. She is so knowledgeable and detail oriented. It's also apparent she truly cares about you and your best interest above all else. We are actually sad we're finished working with her, but would only trust her to sell our house in the future. We can't thank her enough and literally couldn't have done this without her!
