We found Karen through a friend and she exceeded our expectations. She made our Tahoe vacation home dream a reality. The whole buying process went as smooth as possible and that says a lot in this case.

This was not an easy purchase or normal/easy property. We not only live 6 hours away, but we purchased during the COVID real estate boom and purchased a very remote property that has a lot of hard living aspects to it. There were a lot of details to coordinate and line up during our escrow. Karen made them all happen.

She was very responsive and thorough. She has so much knowledge about the Tahoe area that was utilized during the process. Most importantly, she was honest and upfront. If we didn’t buy this one property, we were probably not buying anything at this time and this property wasn’t an easy decision for us to make. She didn’t push the sale at any point, she made sure it was right for us at each step along the way.

Even after closing she has continued to follow up on things and remained a resource we need in the area. I would highly recommend Karen and use her again in the future.

We were very impressed by Karen Grant and started working with with her right away.. she was an incredible resource in helping us to buy a lot in the exact location of our dreams in South Lake Tahoe.

As a buyer's agent, Karen not only specializes in this unique region, (she was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe and is now raising her own children there as well), but she deeply understands the many neighborhoods and pockets within and around it.

She is very reliable and knowledgeable, anytime when we had a question, she was just a phone call away, anytime. She guided us through each step and she was so on top of everything during the deal, and answered every question we had. She worked around the clock to make a quick, smooth transaction.

She answered all of our questions diligently. Her response to our questions was very frequently within the hour, which is a testament to her devotion to her clients. We appreciated that she never tried to sell us a particular lot, but instead guided us in the very fun process of choosing and buying the location of our future Forever Home.

Karen is one of the hardest working people I have ever met. I know she had many other clients but I always felt like she was prioritizing our family first. We found our dream lot fairly quickly but she never pressured us once into buying, and let my wife and I come to our own final decision. She was very helpful in helping us think about the pros and the cons and the market and the timing, etc. She always provided top advice on the neighborhoods, the owners, the selling agents, the value of the lots, and the bidding strategy. Karen always accompanied us on lot visits and responded to questions 7 days a week, any time of day/night.

Not only did she help us find a beautiful lot, but she also helped us get a great deal and close on the lot quickly. We ended up getting the best lot at the best price we possibly could have, that fit us better than other lots that cost more, on the very first offer. Our bid was actually lower than a competing bid, but we won thanks to Karen’s experience and negotiation savvy in constructing attractive offer terms. Her real estate expertise and diligent communication were really helpful in resolving the various questions and issues that came up in a quick close, and her service has been just as attentive even after the purchase. A true professional.

To this day, Karen continues to be extremely helpful, referring us to various service providers (architects, contractors, electric, plumbers, etc). She does that with a smile on her face and a light heart. We cannot think of a more capable buyer’s agent; we are researching the possibility of purchasing an investment property in our future and without a doubt we plan on working with her again.

She knows what and how much she can push and what she shouldn't. Her cultural sensitivity was also very impressive.

She pointed out the pros and cons of all the lots we considered. She was fully transparent at all times and educated us every step of the way. This gave us the knowledge to make an informed decision for ourselves. There was never a moment where she pushed us to make a purchase or decision we were not comfortable with. Her calming demeanor was one of the main reasons I will always go back to her, even during the closing process or when things felt particularly nerve-wracking to me (being my first time buying experience) she was always so great at keeping the energy level calm, positive and always explaining to me exactly what was happening right now and what would be happening next, in a patient way that I was always able to understand. She never made me feel like I was burdening her and even though I know she has many other clients, she has this way of making you feel like you are the ONLY client that matters most to her in that moment of time. I really appreciate that the most about Karen.

In the end, she helped us prepare a competitive offer that beat out a competing higher offer. In fact, the seller of the lot later disclosed to me that the reason he went with our offer was the professionalism he sensed in Karen, that she is a "woman of no nonsense" and she has the ability to close, quickly! He didn’t have his own seller’s agent and he could tell she would make our closing process much smoother and more streamlined than if he went with the other potential offer.

Thank you Karen, for being there each step of the way, all hours of the day (not kidding, I think she closed on our purchase around 9pm). Buying a home or lot is a huge process, but it doesn't end there. That's why I appreciate Karen’s expertise and connection to this community, even now as we start the process of thinking about building. She is always available and her connections in this town are so valuable to a family looking to buy or build in South Lake Tahoe.

My very favorite thing about Karen is her work approach. I absolutely loved her personal approach – she takes time to get to know the client: what matters to you, what you care about. That makes her recommendations really helpful and on point. We won on our very first offer and now almost four months down the road have no "buyers remorse" whatsoever - this lot is really perfect for us! We are very grateful that she guided us through every step of the process. We wouldn't have won this place without her. We will definitely work with her again in the future and have already recommended her to our friends who are buying homes.
