My father, Joe Meyer, has been in real estate for a long time and has trained/worked with probably thousands of agents over his career. So, when I asked him who he thought would be a good realtor to hire for our first home purchase in the Capital Region, I knew that he was going to send me to someone that he knew would provide my wife and me with both accurate, useful, and honest feedback. Without hesitation, he recommended Theo D'Amico. And, my father was right.
I've been around real estate agents through my father for a long time. Theo's experience and professionalism in all areas of the process of home buying makes her truly a standout agent. Additionally, her reputation in the area with other real estate agents--something that is not always emphasized when looking for an agent, is one of mutual respect among her colleagues. This allowed her to better interact with potential seller's agents in a way that was beneficial to us, her clients.
Theo is able to balance professional etiquette and comfortable discourse with her clients. Whenever we had a question, she responded back to us promptly and with accurate information. And, if she did know the answer to the question, she looked it up and got back to us within a perfectly reasonable amount of time. In other words, she made herself available to us and treated us as if we were the most important clients in that moment. Again, this is not something that you will get from your average agent.
Take this from someone who has been around real estate agents for roughly 20 years: Theo is an excellent agent. And, should I need to buy or sell another house in the future, I will be contacting Theo first.
