As a local area Realtor, I work with everyone from first-time home buyers, to families selling properties to expand or down size, to seasoned home owners and investors.

Prior to my career in real estate, I worked for many years in the law and as a newspaper reporter. My ability to explain the details of real estate deals in plain English is a skill I use every day.

We recently used Denisen to handle the sale of our Concord condo and the purchase of our Concord home. We came to her after having switched from a different realtor we had for a few months and who were just were not getting results with. From our first meeting, I had a lot of confidence in Denisen and she totally exceeded our expectations. She is SO very good at what she does. Denisen listened carefully to what we wanted. She gave us an honest (but kind) assessment about what we needed to do to sell our home, and she has relationships with many excellent vendors, so it wasn't just "you need to paint"; it was "you need to paint, I have a couple wonderful people I use, would you like me to get them here tomorrow for an estimate?" YES I would! She really has a very capable team of people working with her (including Claire Wilson! she's wonderful). But I also always felt like I could say "no thank you, we have someone" and that is fine with her. She is very flexible. Denisen was available to us any time we needed, with a very quick response time to any question or need we had, and never once made me feel like I was bugging her. She is super knowledgeable about the market, and seems to know everyone. Denisen has major hustle and is highly skilled at making things happen but was never ever pushy. I honestly felt completely taken care of and supported; we really got first class treatment from her.
Bottom line: she sold our condo in one weekend, and got our offer accepted on a house that we adored that was in high demand. We could not be more thrilled. I really truly cannot say enough good things about what a great realtor and person she is, and have recommended her to any family or friends who need a realtor in the area.

I stumbled on Denisen when I was out looking at houses without my agent. She did not solicit her services but I immediately liked her style of selling and my gut told me this was my new agent. I contacted her and she immediately got to work for me. I was in the process of selling my home in the Sacramento area and relocating to the East Bay. She had to deal with the sell of my home, the buyer of my home selling their home and me purchasing a new home all in one smooth transaction; believe it or not she got it done! We had had every hurdle possible come up but she held the deal together. She always makes herself available and her service is unmeaserable. I highly recommend her!

I have known Denisen socially for a few years but have just recently had the occasion to work with her on the purchase of a home.

There is no shortage of Realtors in the East Bay to choose from, and I have known many other agents literally for decades (I have lived in the East Bay since 1973).

She is one of the most driven, diligent and intelligent agents I have had the pleasure to work with. She makes it a point to be totally informed on the market, a critical part of being a good real estate agent that many agents seem to neglect. During our transaction, she was always available by phone, text and email, so I was never left in the dark about the progress of our transaction. The transaction (and the property) was a little out of the ordinary, but Denisen handled the occasional problems that popped up and made it look easy.

She was absolutely relentless in representing our best interests. I never had any doubt at all whose side she was on--ours, without question.

Like many buyers, we wanted to view a lot of homes. Denisen was knowledgeable about every property, helping us to eliminate those that really wouldn't work for us, helping us eliminate those that met our criteria.

I have bought and sold a lot of homes over the years. I have to say that I have never had such a good experience with a realtor. I can understand why so much of her business comes from the referrals of past clients--like us.

By the time I found Denisen I'd been through three lenders, two realtors who clearly didn't have the time for me, and a sea of unreturned calls to other realtors. I was looking to buy my first home, in November, with a small down payment - I was a less than ideal client. None the less I kept searching and during my digging on home buying apps I kept coming across great reviews for Denisen. Assuming she wouldn't return my call, I left her a message anyways and later that day she called me back...and my life was forever changed - seriously.

Within a month of working with Denisen I figured out what neighborhood in Concord I wanted to live in, found the perfect lender (thanks to her), and was in escrow for my very first home (under asking price and with a closing credit btw!).

Denisen was with me every step of the way. From day one she listened to what I needed, what questions I had, and most importantly, made herself available every step of the way. When I met her I wasn't exactly sure where I wanted to live but I knew what I didn't like - she asked the right questions and made great suggestions that helped guide me towards my own decision. She also put up with me playing realtor in my free time (aka texting her everyday with a "what about this house?" message).

Once I found the home I wanted was when the real business and panic set in. Denisen stayed by my side and was a huge support during my most panicked of times, answering my questions and if she didn't know the answer she found someone who did.

Bought a Single Family home in 2017 in Concord, CA.
My wife and I first met Denisen at an open house she was showing. Granted I was eves dropping but Denisen was talking to a perspective buyer and her candidness and honesty about the neighborhood was really refreshing.

Denisen is a go, go, go person and she will always be honest, she listens to your wants, and is very good at pointing out neighborhoods and houses that for your criteria. She thinks outside the box and will see what your boundaries are, rather than just trying to sell you on something you can't afford and maybe not what you really want. When my wife and I would bring up a house in a neighborhood that was outside our normal search Denisen was alway happy to take us on a tour, she advised us to look up the neighborhood stats such as crime to make sure we were make an informed decision.

Denisen always had our back and she was able to grease the skids when needed.

All that being sad, Denisen is also a very kind and warm person. We would highly recommend Denisen for the purchase or sale of your home.

In May, we found out we were relocating from Seattle to the Bay Area. We had just sold our home and we were just waiting for the go ahead to Ca. We knew we needed and wanted to find another home when we got there so arranged for my husband to have two weeks off before starting again. I was 33 weeks pregnant at the time and the pressure was on to find a home in low inventory and expensive California.

I started the process while we were in Seattle by reaching out to several agents; some on Redfin, some through local friends. We had started the lender process at the same time. We got lucky and started working with a lender agent that recommended Denison Hartlove. None of the other agents got back to me; some of them took over two weeks to reply back! I was floored. I guess they were too busy for us? Denison called me and wrote me an email that night and we set up a time to chat the next day and go over what we were looking for.

This lady has the patience of a saint. We thought we knew what we wanted and really hit the ground running those first two weeks. The California market requires compromises in certain areas, though, if you have a "smaller" budget. Denison showed us homes throughout the East Bay and kept us in a steady conversation about what our priorities really were. She walked us through three offers; always offering honest and thorough advice. My husband is very to the point and functions best on numbers - they both clicked! She's a high functioning, detailed and attentive agent. She really made us feel like we had priority.

The Saturday before he went back to work, we found the home. I'd never seen my husband this excited about any of the homes we'd looked at or excited about something like this quite before. Denison sat us down and assessed the competition. The house ended with 5 offers; we received a tough counter offer and had to really decide how to proceed. The biggest concern was the comps in the area. At the end of the day, this house was the one we wanted and we pushed through while educated with Denison on our side. In the end? We got the house!

I felt like we really gained a friend and partner through the ordeal. Buying a home is stressful; relocating a toddler, pregnant and without any of your normal comforts is more stressful! Denison really kept us sane in the process and I would never hesitate to recommend her or her services.

I worked with Denisen to sell my house in Concord recently. Having only worked with real estate agents in the past to buy homes, I really had no idea what to expect but was honestly prepared for the worst, that the process would be long, painful, confusing, and expensive.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Denisen is so knowledgeable of the area and is such a pro that my house was only in the market for a couple of days before I had the daunting task of reviewing over a half dozen offers. From going live on MLS to open house to closing, I believe it was under 30 calendar days in total. I was expecting 45-60 days so I was beyond happy with the result. Oh, and I also got above asking price!

If that's not enough to convince you, let me also add that I no longer live in the area and Denisen went above and beyond to make the process easy for me, minimizing the number of trips (over an hour each way) I needed to make. She helped to connect me with local vendors she has used before but never pressured me to use her vendors. Ultimately, all of her recommendations were just fantastic - no issues whatsoever and the quality of work was great. In fact, the house looked so guest after paint, new carpet, and staging that I barely recognized it!

Finally, I just want to add that Denisen was so pleasant to work with. She's super friendly, responds very quickly to emails, text messages, and phone calls, and most importantly she always kept me updated on what was happening.

If I'm ever in the market to buy or sell in Contra Costa County, Denisen will definitely be the first person I call, and I would highly suggest you do the same!

My wife and I were looking for a small condo as an investment property and found Denisen on Yelp. The reviews sounded very promising and decided to call her.

After talking to Denisen on the phone, we decided that she was the right real estate agent for us and we could not have made a better decision. Since day 1 she was on top of everything. She met with us once, explained the whole process and found the condo we were looking for the same day! She drafted a great offer letter which the owner accepted quickly.

We were dealing with an unusually difficult owner but Denisen managed to build rapport with the owner and after the appraisal came in a bit lower than our offer, to also lower the price for us!!! I could not believe she managed to pull that off given our situation. I was very impressed, having worked with at least 4 realtors in the past, what Denisen did, is not something any realtor can do.

I highly recommend her. If you want a highly experienced realtor who can get you the house you want and also SAVE you money, pick her. I can't be happier with how things turned out for us because of Denisen's efforts. She has your best interest at heart and also makes the whole process feel very smooth, easy and fun!
