Katie Brown is one of the most helpful, pleasant people I've ever conducted personal business with. She's professional yet friendly. You get the impression that she genuinely cares and wants to help. Dealing with an insurance claim can be extremely stressful. Ms. Brown helped make our experience so much more difficult than it could have been.

The first time I had the pleasure of doing business with Katie Brown with Shawn Fischer's State Farm office was when my husband and I took out a policy in May of 2008. Katie has consistency conducted herself in a professional and yet personable manner, always quickly providing informative answers and making herself available for any further concerns or question we may have. We have never considered taking our policies elsewhere; Katie Brown--and the entire staff at Shawn Fischer's State Farm office--are simply the best in the business.

The Fischer Insurance Agency has been one of the best insurance experiences that my family has had yet in our lives. They are always very attentive to us and our needs. When I am unable to make it to their Chesapeake location, (I live in VA Beach), they are more than willing to come to me no matter how big or small. I have never had a problem reaching them on either the office via phone or e-mail or even their cell phones. Shawn Fischer, Katie Brown and their team have been a saving grace in our lives in many ways and we cannot recommend anyone who will make your insurance experience any better! Katie is a wonderful agent!!! Very professional, pleasant and has great rates. She always listens and asks all the right questions. It's a great feeling to have someone that takes all my concerns seriously. Katie has always been easy to get in touch with as well.

My recommendation for Shawn as your agent is simply this; Shawn took action for me, when my previous agent did not. I have been a State Farm client for over 4 years, paying over $150.00 a month (I have a couple of policies) without a single claim. I actually inquired with my previous agent to add yet another policy. When nothing was heard for almost 10 business days, I was referred to Shawn and within hours I had a response with a proposal in hand! Frankly, it was time to switch agents.

Shawn did a great job with our needs. We just moved here from Washington and came in to the office because it was close to our home. Katie in Shawn's office was immediately able to provide us with a Homeowner's quote for our upcoming purchase. She connected with our lender and everything was done! She also was able to save us about $20 per month on our Auto coverage due to the savings associated with combining the policies with State Farm. A few days later we hit a small snag with our lender and Katie was again able to fix things immediately. I can't say enough about the job she and Shawn do for their customers! Highly recommend!
