From the very beginning Brett started our relationship with a professional friendship. Shortly thereafter there were others involved. They were also very capable people. Brett however must be easy to work with. Because even through other people were set in place to help me along the way Brett kept in touch. Answering the sometimes worried questions customers have when they are laying the largest investment they have ever made at the feet of underwriting. Which in my opinion sounds like undertaking. Anyways. Brett was there all the way through the ups and downs and even after the loan he came through with help in finalizing everything. Thank you Brett for the excellent service. We had an existing HELOC with HomeStreet Bank (HSB) and were looking to do a full backyard improvement project. We contacted HSB to inquire about increasing our HELOC and they connected us to Brett Hadala. Brett Hadala was a life saver in terms of my home purchase. I had been struggling with Rocket Mortgage and was not receiving adequate service. Additionally, my realtor left the country about one week into escrow! It looked like the entire deal was going to fall through and then I reached Brett. He took care of everything. He did the work of a mortgage broker AND a realtor, and then some! We had a bit of a complex case which included the need to change lenders, transfer an appraisal, and an HOA that was stubborn in their compliance. He took care of everything for us. I cannot sing his praises more. He did all this, multiple jobs, at once, with kindness and patience, despite how annoying some of the issues were that he had to handle. He earned an A++++. His service for us makes me 100% certain to recommend Home Street bank to my friends, family and co-workers.

Due to circumstances beyond my control my credit history appears “questionable” at first glance. when other loan officers were unwilling to have a conversation, he was able to see beyond the reports to the person behind them and went to bat with the underwriters.
