After a long and arduous process trying to sell our home to buy a home due to work commute it is finally finished. This endeavor has been tumultuous in so many aspects. The home that we have purchased had multiple items that needed to be fixed, and the selling agent and sellers made this process absolutely, unnecessarily, even more stressful. In fact, an escrow had to be taken out because several items till needed completing after closing. Don Marr has been absolutely terrific in identification of these issues, constant follow ups with negligent parties and in ensuring that every step needed was monitored to protect us. 2024 update: I recently completed my second transaction with Don Marr - this time as a seller - and couldn't be more pleased with Don, his knowledge of current market conditions, and his superior service. My house went into contract in less than a week and don was instrumental in navigating the process and negotiations along the way. I wholeheartedly recommend Don as either a buyer's or seller's agent.

2021: Don is a great real estate professional. In addition to being thorough and communicative and accessible, he was mindful of things that I should consider when moving south from Washington DC and helped me to navigate the lay of the land in Lynchburg, Virginia. He went above and beyond in resolving a property classification issue directly with the city tax assessor's office in advance o my purchase. I didn't even have to make a phone call and it was all taken care of. I highly recommend Don for anyone considering a purchase of sale in the Lynchburg area.

Don Marr is simply the best realtor you could hope to work with. I doubt there is anyone more knowledgeable, kind and willing to go the extra mile to get someone into their dream home. Our search was a bit tricky. We were looking to move into our forever home but were searching from a distance, working on a timeline (and budget), and while we wanted to be out in the country we also needed certain amenities like high-speed internet. Don was endlessly patient with us, driving us all over the place on our visits while he helped us hone in on what we were truly looking for. he could answer almost every question we came up with (e.g. about zoning, local climate and culture, unique septic systems,e tc.) and the few he couldn't, he quickly came back to us with a thorough answer. He genuinely wanted us to love our home, feel secure in the deal and didn't let us settle, even though it might have been easier on him! Andonce we truly fell in love with a place, things got tricky on the seller's side. yet, again, Don was not deterred. he worked so hard to make sure that the deal went through and that we were protected as the buyers every step of the way. And if you think it can't get better than all of that, you should also know that he is just the sweetest, kindest human. We feel so lucky that we got to work with Don but even luckier that we get to call him a friend.

We are so thankful we got the chance to work with Don. He was better than we had ever hoped for. He helped us tour houses, list our house and buy a new house in one month's time. he helped us list our home at a very competitive rate and was able to get us way more money for our home than we thought we would ever get! he was always there to answer our questions, no matter what time it was. he was so knowledgeable and helpful to us about the whole process as a buyer and a seller. We found our dream home and we are so grateful we had Don through this experience. We would give him way more than 5 stars if we could!

Don was amazing to work with. He was knowledgeable and responsive. Always willing to be dragged out to every property I wanted to see and arrived with informtaion I needed about each. It was a long process for us and I felt like Don was there 100%to make the process as smooth as he could for me. Don became as much friend as realtor.
