Superlatives don’t do justice in describing the experience of working with and observing James Madalone performing the role of real estate agent and broker. We have purchased houses throughout the years both as personal residences and many for rent and ultimate resale.
James, hands down is the most dedicated, professional, competent real estate person we have ever dealt with. He came to our initial meeting dressed immaculately in a white shirt and tie. He was fully prepared having done his homework. He had pictures of my mother-in-law’s house, details regarding the layout, comps for recent sales and listings in the area and a marketing plan designed to maximize the value of the house.
When we met with him at the sale house he had many recommendations regarding eliminating furniture that was “old” and the positioning of the balance of the furniture. James had professional pictures taken and prepared a beautiful multipage brochure which he sent to real estate agents in the area. He also contacted agents in the northeast to let them know about the house for any client moving to our area. Unlike many agents who lowball the asking price, James pushed the limits. Guess what, we had multiple offers (over asking price) within a week.
James was always accessible by text or phone and followed up on every issue immediately.
James has our unequivocal recommendation and support. We would be happy to serve as a reference for him.

James and his team were interviewed by us and we did not have to continue our search for any other realtor team. All went flawless, including the marketing strategy of NextHome Real Estate. We were living in our home during this process which included a couple open houses and plenty of showings. Communications were excellent and no surprises were thrown our way. Dad is not in the best of health and really needed to make sure he got the most for his home that he could. I did my part in fielding questions from prospective buyers (mostly nosy neighbors and Realtors looking for a listing) and showed the home a few times. It was very unpleasant to deal with most Realtors but James caught my attention by being very positive and active listening to Dad's (and my) situation.
James took time to explain what he does, why he does it and what the benefit for Dad would be.
I recommended James take over the listing and Dad was wary at first but James worked so diligently and truly cares that by the end of the sale "anti-Realtor" dad is recommending him to anyone who will listen!

Christine and James are wonderful. They really work hard and actually create miracles. They care about where you live and work to get you into a good place, as they watch out for your finances. They are honest and positive and their integrity is beyond compare. They do everything they can to care and produce tangible and worthwhile results. They are by far the best realtors around. My husband and I were moving from out of state to an area we didn't know and had no connections with. Luckily, we found James Madalone. James helped us find a terrific home. James was very knowledgeable about the area and helped us look at different neighborhoods and weigh the benefits of them. Due to Covid-19 we were limited to looking at homes virtually and James worked tirelessly to help us look at many houses. James was great at working with us by email and phone as well. James Madalone likes to say that he is "positive, optimistic, and enthusiastic." And that is exactly what he is. What a breath of fresh air in the American service industries! But I would add one very important trait: hard-working. (Yes, another fresh breath.) He is the Energizer bunny of sales advocates! James does not quit--he lives the belief that "quit" is a four-letter word that should never take root. James is a "people person" who knows his craft: he knows how to work creatively with both buyers and sellers to help them realize their real estate goals. His optimism and determination pleasantly rubs off--and really helps to take the root canal-like sting out of the home sales process.

James responded to a realtor request online, and from the very first conversation he was able to glean the requirements for the kind of home my husband and I were looking for. At this point there were a couple other realtors sending me listings but almost all of James’s listing matched our requirements to a T. From the showings to making and negotiating an offer, to the inspections and assessments, to the closing itself James, Christine and NextHome have made the entire home buying process seamless and superior. I am not one to write reviews but felt it was important to recognize James and his commitment to exceptional customer care. This was my first experience buying a home of my own and I was overwhelmed. From looking at homes (which was obviously the most fun part) to navigating the mortgage process to finding and securing the services of exceptional painters, James was there holding my hand. He negotiated a great price on my home and saw the potential in it that was a bit difficult for me to see at first ;) He also lined up a great mortgage broker who was equally as available and helpful. Though I know James is a busy man and sold many homes more expensive than mine, I felt as though I was his only client at the time. Buying a house is stressful (and I did it at the same time I switched jobs, which may qualify me as crazy) but James made it as easy of a process as possible and I am grateful for his time and care.
