I've known Mike since I first came to Hollister in 2001. He and I connected on a friendly connection from our past. We moved away in 2008 and rented our Hollister home to a tenant. When the tenant moved in September of this year it was time to sell our home. I hadn't seen Mike for years, but just the same I remembered the professional impact he on me. I'd been gone so long I wasn't sure where his office had been. However, I went into the Realty World where I thought I had met with him years before. Voila! Pay dirt.
We met with him and began laying out plans to have him help us sell our home at 1651 Sonoma Ct. He told me that in the years since we'd first met he had found his niche in something he did really well. Marketing homes !
So we began the process. His integrity stands out. We listened to him on the things he recommended we do to get the home ready for sale. We knew he was right about what the typical home buyer liked in a home and followed his directions. He emphasized that if we did the things necessary to the house to make a good impression on buyers that we could expect a prompt sale.
He set the price for the market and we put things in place, new carpet, paint inside and out. new roof. new light fixtures, garden manicure and so on.
At every turn in the road Mike was right on top of every item, communicated regularly. I didn't have to remind him of anything.
So we went on the MLS the Saturday before Thanksgiving. By Tuesday before Thanksgiving we had our first offer above the price Mike had set. Then two more. Finally a fourth and we're in escrow.
Mike was the perfect guide through all of this. If there is a standard of professionalism in real estate transactions Mike tops it all.
