I became aware of Evan Essick watching a video a friend sent me about Winston Salem. I emailed her explaining that I was interested in moving there but was nowhere close to being able to buy a property. That didn’t stop her from working with me every weekend that I drove down from Maryland. Early on she was able to show me properties that impressed me and made me feel as though I was already living there.
I had to stop looking for about six months in order to retire and to get my own house ready for sale so I could start again, cash ready. After selling my house, I stayed in an Airbnb for a month hoping this would give me enough time to find a house. Evan found me a property in Clemmons within two weeks! A good one I was able to get the seller to come down on her asking price.
Evan still continues to help me, obtaining technicians to take care of a few minor things, around the house, that still need to be done. She was always able to explain the numbers, how North Carolina real estate worked and where to find good brisket.
Those first two things alone, justify this recommendation. I have to admit, the third one helped too.

You have to give her all of your “check-off-items” so that they can be included in the search. Donna Puckett is always available and listens tentatively, what I really like about Donna Puckett is that she is always friendly and welcoming, and that is a great quality for the person to have when finding you your dream home, whether it’s your first, second or even your third home, it’s a dream home.
If I could give Evan 100 stars I would. As professional as she is, she also felt like a friend I have known for years. I was looking for a realtor who would give us real uncut opinions, whether it would go against what we wanted or not.
