I was the broker-owner of Coral Shores Realty from November 2000 until July 2024, until I made the decision to merge my real estate company with Keyes.
At the peak of my company, we had over 1,000 real estate agents. Over time, my company diminished due to attrition and stiff competition to about 300 agents.
My bottom line started to dry up. I was eaten alive by higher commission splits, salaries, rent, E&O insurance, and other operating expenses. It was a race to the bottom, and I seemed to be the last person getting paid.
I decided to do something about my situation. I had given up almost 25 years of my life building my company and the last thing I wanted to do was shut it down after all my blood, sweat, and tears.
I reached out Steven Reibel, SVP at the Keyes Company and requested a meeting. I met with him, Mike Pappas the CEO and Christina Pappas, the President. I knew immediately that I wanted to be associated with the Keyes Company.
Like my company, they are a family-owned and operated business who have a 100-year real estate tradition. I love their warmth, sincerity, professionalism, structure, technology, support, on-going training and their host of supporting affiliates like title, mortgage, property management, insurance, relocation department, etc.
Many of my agents were apprehensive at first but now thank me for merging with the Keyes Company. My only regret is that I did not do it sooner.
