Before Silicon Valley was duly named, its history as the hotbed of innovation was well noted. Our catchy moniker reflects the giants of technology who line the corridors of Cupertino, Mountain View, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, and Sunnyvale; the wave of progressive firms that have shaped electronics, e-commerce and social interaction all call this place home.
In its truest form, innovation knows no boundaries. It isn’t contained by market or economic trends. Silicon Valley is where everyone gathers at the water cooler of progress, questioning why things can’t be better.
It’s from that fountain that the founders of Intero drank.
It was 2002. Silicon Valley was mired in the dot-com bust affecting all corners of the technology sector. As a result the local real estate market grinded to a halt. In true Silicon Valley spirit, that was the exact, perfect moment to launch a startup real estate brokerage.
Intero’s desire wasn’t to be like all other brokerages. Not only were we committed to providing our residents and neighbors a service that heralded the very nature of where we live, we owed it to our new neighbors, recruited from all over the world to come and work for many of the most creative, progressive companies on the planet.
Powered by an entirely new technology platform, backed by a solid investment, led by a team of real estate veterans who were all born, raised, and weaned right here in the Silicon Valley, Intero Real Estate Services was born.
While the dot-com bust remedied, in 2007, the real estate bubble burst and its subsequent effects on the market and economy were well documented. For us, this signaled a moment in time to do what we do best - invest in our company and innovate further.
Over the past seven years, against the pressures of a challenging market, we continued to advance our training programs, update all of our technology, grow our brand into other markets, and build a luxury sub brand.
We did all this because this is who we are.

I feel incredibly lucky to have met Margaret—our introduction was purely by chance. At a gathering, I saw my middle school friend chatting with her, and he called me over to introduce us. As fate would have it, I had just started thinking about buying a home before my lease ended in the summer.
Two weeks later, Margaret and I began touring listings. She even took me out to dinner for my birthday, which was such a thoughtful gesture! Over the next couple of months, she helped my wife and me search for a home that met both of our preferences. It wasn’t easy—we had different ideas about what we wanted—but Margaret was incredibly patient and supportive throughout.
At the end of March, we finally found a place we both loved. That’s when Margaret really shined. She handled countless rounds of back-and-forth negotiations with the seller’s agent regarding major issues like the aging roof and termite damage. She didn’t just push for quick fixes—she carefully strategized and even advised that we request a price reduction instead of having the seller pay for repairs. Her reasoning? I wish I could give 7 stars but yelp only permits me to give 5 stars. Sakshi Rajput is an immensely talented and helpful leasing consultant. We were anxious about the whole process but her personality and process of showing us around made us really comfortable. The amazing thing was that she's actually empathetic towards the concerns a tenant has and is not dispensing her duties in a perfunctory, pretentious sort of a way. We had made a list of things that we wanted to check/ be sure of while scouting for the apartment and unfortunately we had forgotten it at home. Now, I don't know whether it was coincidence or her proficiency in understanding the psyche of prospective tenants, she actually proactively covered all! Yes, all of the specific things we had listed.

As first-time homebuyers, we had a lot of questions and concerns, and the house we were trying to buy was quite far from where she lived. Atul and Shrenik were fantastic at selling my townhome in San Francisco. It was an extremely challenging sale: downtown still recovering from pandemic, high interest rates, vertical property with many stairs that limits the buyer pool. But Atul and Shrenik were relentless in their advertising efforts, holding open homes, virtual staging, professional photography, etc. When we finally got an offer, Atul was a tough negotiator, ensuring I got my asking price and other favorable terms. We were able to close in 10 days because he went over every document multiple times to ensure everything was in order.
